just joined a server for a latin competition and iâve never seen so many anime girl icons...
i think some of yâall got so caught up with not wanting to step on toes/hurt feelings that you never call anything out and basically became a bystander. like you wanna play both sides and be everyoneâs friend but you really canât. instead youâve become complicit in stuff like antiblackness, homophobia, biphobia, etc. and think youâre âone of the good onesâ just bc itâs not coming directly from YOUR mouth
you âsupportâ those affected by it but only passively. only when you donât have to be the one to do something about it
most people agree with the idea that everyone deserves a place to live but their support for this starts waning when you say everyone deserves a comfortable place to live. and by comfortable i mean an adequately sized home thatâs safe. not somewhere that has a constant infestation or the water isnât safe to drink or you have to bundle up under a million jackets and blankets bc you canât afford heat during the winter or you sleep 5 to a room and 2 to a bed bc bigger places cost more than you can pay. all of this should NOT be a problem
people think âwhy should they get this for free when i work hard for itâ like thatâs the point !! you SHOULDNâT have to work hard for it. everyone deserves a comfortable and safe place to live period. regardless of who they are, what they do or donât do, whether or not you like them, or if they have a job. bc the second you start saying âexcept for x peopleâ it always comes back on marginalized people and âx peopleâ arenât the ones suffering
i go so hard for black girls with colored hair especially because i know they are being judged for it and people are forming opinions about them such as âshe wanna be white' âŠ'she donât love herself' âŠ'she a ghetto ass ratchet ass bitch!ââŠ.âshe too dark for that color!â âŠ.âhahhaaha hood rat!â while the white girls are being seen as âcoolâ and âeclecticâ for it.Â
