I was working on this and sadly I flattened the image with the flats and background by accident x_x  I might try to re-ink it and add some shading.  Either way, enjoy :)

One of my employees called me this morning as I was driving to work.

She said she had just thrown up in her car, apologized, said she hadn’t eaten much that morning, apologized for THAT, and then asked if she could go home and put on clean clothes before she came in.

She was audibly crying.

I told her to go home, clean up, and stay there, because she clearly needs a day off.

I hate that capitalism has used and abused so many of my hires.  I hate the fear in their eyes when they ask me for time off– time off that they’ve earned, time off that they deserve.  I hate that I am the best boss they’ve ever had just because I treat them like functioning adults.

So please consider this your professional pat-on-the-back, friends.  You are working hard enough.  You are up against a lot, but you are still valued and important.  You are more than what you accomplish in an arbitrary work shift, whether you have a great day or a terrible day.

You are enough!
