[I came up with a mini-story to this drawing: William is a young nature spirit, like a dryad. And a young Yami happens to encounter him while lost wandering a forest. While at first William felt a bit self-conscious because of his scar and having never talked to a human before, he began to feel more at ease with him. And they became friends! Ah, and Yami picked up that flower because it was similar to William’s hair color (*´∀`*)]

Women in Black Clover

If you read this manga, you know how useful they are. This isn’t just some one-off either, Tabata consistently makes them relevant and equal to the guys.

For example, this chapter was Vanessa and Sally protecting the team against Dorothy’s Dream Magic. Without these 2, they’d have died right away to the big dream animal.

I love how Tabata writes women because he doesn’t shunt women in roles after their background story is done being told, or make them relevant in the buildup of the arc but only make the men fight the notable enemies. And unlike other more praised series, Tabata is consistent about this.

Yes people might say Black Clover is generic and all that jazz, but you’re doing yourself a disservice listening to them instead of reading this masterpiece.
