In light of the possible TV show and the horrors my sweet, sunshine boy will be put through, here are some more Jacob x Bella things...
🌙 I'm torn between having them not imprint and Bella being the love he chooses no matter what OR Jacob imprinting on her and becoming Edward's equal. Both beasts and Prince Charming's in one form, both true lovers, both wanting the same Princess (but Jake wins because this is my blog and I said so okay).
I honestly like both options for many different reasons so, dear reader, choose whatever you like!
🌙 Charlie finds out the truth in New Moon, not out of some convoluted plan (to do what exactly?? What was Jake's thought process through the strip show, I mean, my god, it did nothing!) but out of love. The incident isn't Bella jumping off of a cliff out of desperation, it's Bella and Charlie being attacked by Victoria and the pack defending them. Bella falls and Jacob with her, the truth revealed in the worst moment of Charlie's life.
But she's okay, they're both okay, and he thanks God for it.
🌙 Jacob thanks God for her, needing no other miracle.
She's everything he wanted, everything she never knew she needed until he breathed life back into her, both literally and metaphorically. She awakens on the beach in his arms, seeing an angel again...and this time the angel stays by her side, a guardian.
🌙 After that, he's allowed to spend his nights at the Swan house, no need to sneaking around...mostly. It makes sense to have a shapeshifter in the home when there's, you know, a vampire trying to kill your daughter but Charlie stills insists that Jacob sleeps on the couch.
He pretends not to notice one sneaking away from the other's bed early in the morning hours, too in love to stay away from one another for too long.
🌙 She's always cold but that's okay because he's always warm and keeps her close, Jacob chasing winter away just for her. They cuddle a lot, so much so that it's an unconscious effort at some point. Gravity pulls them together so gently, a hand on her waist, her head resting on his shoulder.
🌙 Bella becoming super close with Leah because Jacob loves her, she does too. Sam says something harsh about her and Bella gives him a verbal beatdown so hard he sees God himself, Jacob just in the back with heart eyes.
And for the first time in forever, they both had a true friend.
Someone who won't betray them or abandon them, the kind of friend you can be totally honest with and do anything together. Emily, for Leah, was sweet but never truly there for her...Alice always wanted Bella to play a role she'd never wanted. But this is honest and real, something they both needed.
🌙 Bella brushing and braiding Jacob's hair at night, he just loves it. They way her small, cold hands run through his hair, the brush of them against hot skin. He's happy to lean back and let her take care of him, knowing that this is just Bella's way of being:
Taking care of those she loves quietly, softly.
This is one of those silent ways that she tells him how much she loves him.
🌙 At some point he finds a swan feather and keeps it in his bedroom, right on his dresser. He found it when wanting, almost praying, for some sign that she might love him one day and took it as a reply. Every time he's needed to make a choice through their relationship, another has appeared.
🌙 Bella makes an offhand remark about going to college in Hawaii and Jacob's older sister lives there sooo...she gets a scholarship and he follows?? I think Rachel stays behind a little longer, taking care of Billy and giving Paul more time to control the shift.
But they're so happy in the surf and sunshine, feeling young for the first time in forever. The scary part of the story is over and they are happy.
🌙 But one day they come back together, building a life in the place where they fell in love. She loves Forks now, seeing the beauty in all of it, and Jacob would follow her anywhere in the world. She could have gone anywhere but she chooses to go home with him.
🌙 He kisses every cut and bruise and scar she has, loving all of these little pieces of her.
The little flaws are proof of the good and the bad of it all, a little of pain and a little of love. And for Bella, it's proof that she is stronger then she seems, a warrior in her own right. Everything she's been through, she survived it.
She earned this happily every after with heartbreak and blood.
🌙 She sleeps best when beside him, tossing and turning when he's gone. It's only when Jacob comes home to her that she can rest easy again.
Only he can keep the nightmares away.
And he always does, pulling her into her arms as the frightened cries melt away into something soft and sweet, his name murmured between sighs.
🌙 Bella fights with her mother, actually fights, for the first time when Renee implies that Jacob isn't good enough for Bella and that she's settling. It's a massive argument and they don't talk for a long while after. The fact that it went down like that was pretty shocking and Jacob felt horrible, worrying he caused a rift between them.
But this, Bella assures him, was a long time coming.
🌙 She finds Edward's gifts beneath the floorboard in her bedroom when getting ready for college...and throws them out. She loved him, she saved him, and that's the end of it.
The truest love and her happily ever after was not with Edward Cullen.
It was with a sweet boy with new mon eyes and a sunshine soul, the one who stayed in the darkest of times and brought the summer sun to her wintered heart. The one who keeps her beloved truck alive for years to come, who catches her when she falls and tends to every wound.
True love is Jacob Black.
