Shout out to Project Hail Mary for using a real hand knitted Cardigan from a vintage pattern and even altering it slightly to make it even more unique and it ending up being probably the most iconic outfit of Ryland's in the movie.

I'm choosing to believe the implication is Ryland made it himself and making it my head Canon that he knits. He's a knitter To ME!!

For anyone wanting to make this cardigan like in the film without buying the kit, someone on ravelry adapted the colour charts to match the one in the film! You still need to buy the Mary Maxim pattern but use the ravelry colour charts instead of the pattern charts

Hey knitting tumblr! I was wondering, for any fellow enby knitters, are there any androgynous/unisex or even cool more masculine patterns for tops any of you know about that you could recommend my way? Ravelry or like Etsy. I included some examples from my favorites lists on ravelry that I'm interested in potentially making. Im planning on doing the Umbria Summer top (although the sizing/easing in the pattern has already started to confuse me), and i added Made In The Moment's On Fire sweater cus its really cool but I wanna stick with just knitting. [I can crochet but im trying to stick to mostly knitting this year. Plus I want more summer tops rn cus tis the season]

Im a pretty beginner knitter, ive been doing it on and off (mostly off) for years but I wanted to get into it more seriously/consistently this year so any advice you have would be welcome as well if you're willing to share. (I've made a few shawls on my early years, a few hats [including cabling], a blanket, a sweater, a pair of pants, a scarf and I just made a pair of socks from a local class to give an idea. I'm having fun learning new and kinda challenging techniques so maybe beginner to somewhat intermediate is in my range rn)
