💗: At which point do they realize that they've fallen in love?

Probably at the point where they have kissed, seen each other cry, had sex, shared dreams of starting their own families, shared deep rooted traumas, (tohri) spent at least 1000$ on the other person, and fallen asleep while cuddling at their 15th sleepover.

But not any point before that!

💍: What do they like about being in love?

Well... there was only one relationship he had where he actually loved the other guy to the point where their break-up left him an emotional and mournful mess... And if you asked that Tohri from a few years ago what he likes about being in love, he probably would say something like;

“Oh, the mutual understanding! The selflessness on both parts! The ability for both of us to have closeness and distance at certain times and not feel like our relationship is being neglected by it! It’s like everything in my sight takes on a more saturated hue when I think about him! The sun and moon, they shine for us! I love you, Fernando!”

But if you asked him that today, he’d say

“Love is BULLSHIT and there is no place in my heart for anyone but myself. I am an artist that leads a life of solitude, forever!!!”

Tohri really is a mixed bag, but he acts differently depending on who the person is, of course, and there is a significant difference in his behavior when he simply finds a man attractive and fools around, and when he actually feels an emotional bond of Love... and the funny thing is, it’s really hard for him to fall in love due to his huge ego...

Since he sees everything as a competition, he actually does mistake “liking” someone for a quest of rivalry. So if Tohri acts even more boastful than usual, seemingly tries to impress you with everything from his own appearance to showing off his art pieces, and struts around... that’s the golden pheasant body language for “hey! i like you! pay attention to me!”

*well, it’s his body language in gijinka form too

However! If the “liking” goes beyond curious attraction, Tohri will almost invert and become deeply curious about you as a person, do his best to be a reliable source of advice, and be... kind, and help you in need?! that has happened probably twice in his life.

... Well, if someone is out of his reach, that means that the other person is someone he respects immensely and makes him feel floored. So THAT’S what would get him to be bashful and vulnerable. He would probably try to ignore it, let it fester, only to blow up in another inconvenient situation, and make a fool of himself!!! :)

ㅤ ㅤ Until that moment the man seemed more intrigued than terrified by the mystery of that place. Not even the sound of cars from seemingly just a few buildings later could be heard in this isolated array of stone. No chirping birds, either. Wait, what did she say earlier there? “Oh! No no, I am not from S City, I came here from Tokyo. Born and raised in Kyoto, however. I suppose the distance isn’t all that huge!” Smalltalk to avoid awkward silence. Conversation is where a good portion of Tohri’s skills lie, so it felt completely normal and easygoing.

“Perhaps it’s worth mentioning that my name is Nishikikouji Tohri! I work for the manga publishing company Golden Weekly. Hmm, have you heard of it~? We mostly publish shounen manga, but there are obviously plenty of girls that enjoy the genre too. So, I’m not exactly a tourist, more like looking for a certain manga author that’s said to reside somewhere around here...”
