the key to avoiding symbolismslop is sincere, thoughtful intent btw
it's fine to create art that has deer skull god (she/her) (queering it) pomegranate sun/moon symbolism in it but you need to ask yourself, why a deer skull and not another animal? what does queering it add to the text's portrayal of religion? why a pomegranate specifically? are the sun and moon the most appropriate celestial bodies to represent the meaning i'm trying to convey to my audience? what am i trying to say here?
"it looks cool" and "everyone else is doing it so i guess i should as well" are the creativity killers. inspiration requires introspection otherwise it's just imitation!!!
+ as the notes have pointed out being open to critique is also the fuel of creativity, not the antithesis of it. inviting interpretation only increases the space you have to work with and respond to!
"I know chatgpt is bad but you just don't really have any choice" you literally do. Don't use it. Have some moral backbone.
it's been like 2 years. i havent touched it. never needed to. "you don't really have a choice," are you so swift to forget the recent past? Bitch i still use itunes to download mp3s to so i have them forever and any song i want, then my sister burns them to CDs. When boycotts rolled out my other sister got no thanks to scan what products we shouldn't buy. i still use corded headphones not because "its older" but because it's easier. a fool criticizes those who buy candles 200 years after the invention of the electric light until the power goes out. become ungovernable. you are not immune to propaganda. you've never had Chatgpt forced upon you, the only thing forced upon you is the idea that Chatgpt is forced upon you. why claim you need something today that you didn't need yesterday. little bitch.
columbina SOON.
Happy Birthday to the most hardworking moodmaker in the SDU!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOVE YOU SO MUCH GAKU MARUKO!!!!!
I drew these for the Gaku bday and Eitaku Wedding cupsleeve event that happened over the weekend and I'm so glad to be able to contribute something for my boy ;w;! You deserve the world Gaku and I hope you're able to get some happiness on your special day ;w;;;!!!!!
unforgettable
ofc it was important that hijikata-san never gave up and kept moving forward, but the reason the shinsengumi remains in history is because nagakura-san endured the shame of living (he said that) to pass down their history!!!!!

I hate them both I say lovingly
a good ship is always improved by having at least one other random character who is so so fucking mad that the ship is happening and is either seething about it or actively trying to break them up. i see the appeal of "everyone else played matchmaker and they're all cheering to see the ship holding hands!!" but i need at least one character, with any motivation, to be the world's pettiest hater about it come hell or high water. bonus points if the beef is completely onesided and they still get warmly invited to the wedding anyway
Pokémon Shrine
excited for super goryokaku!!
it is my personal opinion but i really love how hajime-chan responds to summoning by the name “saito hajime.” in life, he changed his name several times, and saito hajime was mainly used during his time in shinsengumi, which is about 5-6 years (i am gonna mention how harada-kun’s finally found something sincere in his life and watched them wither in those 5-6 years, but it is for another time)
it is both painful and endearing to me that, despite living through most of the meiji era, he still considers his prime years the time with shinsengumi. he has lived most his life as “fujita goro”, but he chooses to manifest as saito hajime when appearing as a servant - it’s so fitting about him
despite his carefree, aloof exterior, he’s deeply loyal and forms strong emotional bonds with those he lets into his heart. so when i think, “Oh, so THIS is FGO’s interpretation of him,” it makes me happy.
me running after hajime-chan to ask why is his appearance in chaldea is not that of fujita goro who accepted the changing world but that of saito hajime who resisted it
look. listen to me. in terms of no context powerlevels red faction curbstomps the fsn cast. no contest. karna alone can ragdoll most of them. and then you add achilles to the mix, your chance of winning, drastic go down. the numbers spell disaster for you. at sacrifice. but that makes the fsn cast the underdogs. which means they have story on their side. so here's how it's going to happen okay.
first fight: arturia and mordred immediately recognise and kill each other. this imparts on the audience the importance of true names, because they are able to mutually assure this destruction because they are arturia and mordred, and also puts both sides on the back foot right out the gate because they instantly lost their sabers (considered to be the strongest class)
second fight: atalante and achilles vs medusa and heracles. they are all guesstimating each other's names. heracles dominates until karna shows up and karna blasts the battlefield, taking one of heracles' lives and severely injuring medusa. emiya then also shows up and uses rho aias to provide cover to escape, prompting suspicion from achilles, who knows for sure that emiya is Not supposed to have that. this establishes karna and heracles as the main powerhouses of each side, the kind of advantage emiya's true name has, and also allows emiya to deduce who achilles is.
one or two more skirmishes happen just to show some more characters in action. medea and semiramis work on their respective bases. character moments are had.
halfway point: medea has largely completed her fortress, and has found out through the leylines or whatever that semiramis' own fortress is nearing completion, so she urges an immediate assault to prevent that from happening. in this battle karna continues to ragdoll everyone and takes at least one more of heracles' lives. cu chulainn figures out that karna's armor doesn't negate damage entirely, and therefore that gae bolg will be able to reach him, so he kills karna. using his noble phantasm obviously reveals his true name however, and somewhere after this battle, semiramis and shakespeare have a trivially easy time creating circumstances that force him to eat dog and neutralise him. in the end the fsn assault delayed the completion of the gardens, but did not prevent it altogether.
shortly after karna's death: red faction still has achilles to be indestructable for them so fsn is at a significant disadvantage. emiya 1v1s him and tries to hit his heel to no avail, because achilles is fast as fuck and not stupid. when emiya is cornered it turns out he was just bait, and kojirou, who everyone had kinda forgotten about until now, uses tsubame gaeshi to slash achilles' heel, neutralising his invincibility. however, he's still achilles and emiya is still a chump compared to achilles, so achilles kills him. kojirou gets away because he's assassin.
at some point atalante finds out who medea is and goes apeshit on the child killer, wrecking the fsn faction's base as calydonian boar, and is killed by the still injured medusa as a mercy to a fellow monster.
climax of the story: heracles burns through his remaining lives to charge at the completed hanging gardens. sparatacus is inspired by this and likewise gives his life to create an opening for medusa to fly medea up to the gardens and use rule breaker to dispel the magecraft that holds it together. and these former midbosses are now heroes. semiramis either dies crushed by the rubble or is killed by medea. a vulnerable achilles and a heracles with one life left fight each other in the wreckage, the winner not shown. shakespeare sneaks off, content with all the dramatic irony he's witnessed, and gets ganked by kojirou. nobody gets the grail. the end.
