Sidian couldn’t help the shift back half a step he took as the shorter man declared him a tree, the Witch cleared his throat and huffed a half laugh, no true amusement or humor touching the action. This certainly wasn’t the first time someone had commented on his height and the Witch knew that it would likely not be the last, as he was sure short people had to deal with, height jokes came for the short and the tall. Unfortunately for Sidian, he was a giant at six foot and five inches, almost smacking his head on most door frames. It had been some time since anyone had been so flamboyant about their verbal observation of his massive size. He didn’t comment on the tree business, glancing to the side as a way to ignore it before returning his dark gaze to the bowing Fae.
Tricksters, he knew their kind, his experience was limited but Sidian had dealt with such creatures before. The Witch crossed his arms slowly over his chest as the snake around his neck finally curled away, moving down his arm to uncoil and look at the Fae, flicking its tongue to taste Phen’s scent before the serpent launched itself from Sidian only to shift smoothly into an orange cat and run off into the shop. As the Fae continued on, mentioning Kora, Sidian’s brow furrowed and his expression dropped some from the fake professional face he put on for customers, this man had come for his Kora though.
He sighed and let his tongue flick over his bottom lip, taking the flesh between his teeth to scrape as the flesh. “This was not the business proposition I was expecting,” he voice, mild irritation dancing against his tone and expression, what was it with everyone wanting his wolf? He understood why others would be attracted to Kora, it wasn’t that which bothered him, although Sidian was a jealous man, he was also open to others entering their relationship to an extent. She was still his, though.
“There is no item nor skill that you could give me in return for my claim,” Sidian expressed, tone a little harder than he actually meant. “Is this because you wish to fuck her? Or is there some other interest you have in her?” This Phen had said Kora was his friend so there was a chance his assumption was incorrect but Sidian couldn’t help the twinge of jealousy that fluttered in his gut, the worst thing was that he liked it. If they weren’t harming Kora, Sidian rather enjoyed it when others lusted after her, it made him feel more powerful in a way.
A problem with Phen? He’s very easily distracted. Within a second, his attention can flitter to several different things and it’s very possible for him to forget what he’d originally been doing or searching for. The moment the slithering friend of the great tree was in the air and a cat, Phen’s eyes are wide and the overwhelming urge to chase after the cat is enough for Phen to rocket himself a few steps forward. Shit! Gone! Blasted. The cat is gone from his sight before he even had a chance to reach it. Now he’s in a new spot in the store and there’s suddenly different sights in front of him. Different trinkets. Different smells. Are those chicken bones? Why are there bones? Witches are odd creatures but Phen likes them. They’re like fae except not as special or pretty. Or deceptive. Or cunning. Or bright. Or tricky. Maybe they’re not like fae at all but he still likes them.
Giant tree is talking and it takes Phen a ridiculously long time to drag his attention back. Business proposition? Did he come here to make one? What business did he have? Oh! Kora! The wolf. The pretty wolf. The pretty wolf who has a grumpy owner. But Phen hardly had a chance to react to the hard pressed tone when Sidian brought up intentions.
“She’s my friend!” Phen announced, hands on his hips and a mock stern expression on his face. “I want to spend time with her. Play, play, play. Run through the woods! Giggle together! Best of friends!” Phen’s eyes are only getting brighter the more he spoke. “She’d make for the best dog! She’s black as midnight, soft as a cloud. I’m sure she’s lovely in her human form...hm just how lovely?” Oh. He could fuck her. That hadn’t crossed his mind, he’d wanted a friend. But now there’s the temptation there. How fun could that be? Phen missed having fun. People could be so boring. Maybe these two wouldn’t be boring. They’re both pretty after all and Phen loves pretty things.
In a flash of bright colors, he’s no longer standing in front of Sidian but now sitting on top of the front counter of the store, one leg crossed over the other and Phen’s smile that of a cheshire cat. Where once there were cloudy dazed bright eyes, there are now perfectly clear startling sharp eyes. “But now you bring up something very tempting, indeed. Would you allow such a thing, Sidian of the Witches? To watch my hands explore every curve and crevasse of her body? To watch the heat rush to her cheeks in desire, her back arch from the desperate need for more under my touch?”
If even possible, the Unseelie’s smile only grew larger with his next words. “Would you let me play with you too? I’m so curious to see you uncoil, unravel… could those hands of yours that smell of sage and soil make me submit? Oh, can you imagine the fun?”
