With all 3 of us being big Genshin Impact fans, the idea of @elain_kingslayer and I commissioning my beloved @luxury_banshee for this piece. For @elriel-month , we wanted to have Elain as a Dendro catalyst user, and Azriel as cryo polearm since it just fits them so perfectly! They would fit in soooo well with Teyvat, honestly. Coming up with this art was soooooo fun, the biggest shoutout to my wonderful and amazing friends for collaborating on such a stunning and perfect piece! We can’t wait to see how the both of them will overcome their challenges and obstacles in the upcoming books.

Elain and Azriel may not have a mating bond between them, but they’re still drawn to each other in an unexplainable way. I cannot wait to see the heated moments this connection leads them into. We will likely see them trying to resist their connection for a while, but ultimately, the pull is too strong to ignore.

this fandom has reduced elain from her own story so much that they have turned the love triangle from revolving around her, like it was always meant to be, to revolving around azriel instead, and focusing on what azriel and lucien “deserve”. and then they wonder why we call them male-centered?

Maybe it will start as an accident, like at solstice. Elain slipping into the pantry to grab something, Azriel already there, shadows curling in surprise. But somehow, neither of them are moving to leave.

Too many dinners, too many glances across crowded rooms, too many “what ifs” hanging in the air.

But one thing’s certain, they are always going to find each other. 🌹🖤
