Year 4 day 298 : Menthis III update

Menthis III team have recieved a message from the rover this morning.

As the rover was heading down the south pole of minmus the autotmatic protocole has deviated a little from the planned route. The reason is the detection of some strange reading for a rock on the surface.

The rover has stopped wanting instruction continue or analyse. the team as decided that the south pole can wait, this strange olivine formation is more intresting

as the team was arguing about what should be done, an intern has noticed that mun and kerbin were visible with the rear camera and save the picture. it has now spread over kerbin, the intern recieved a prize by the PR team.

Year 4 day 290 : Tesla burn

In this day, the mission controle team verify that the transfer burn for the tesla probe happen correctly.

After the burn the probe indicate that every thing went nominaly. The mission control team can now rest for some times, the next point will be jool capture burn.

Year 4 day 264 : Mojito II orbit

In this day, the PSA annonce they successfully orbited the first probe around moho ahead of it's rival

Year 4 day 241 : Aurora I construction update

now that the first parts of the base is fiearmly attached to the ground the base can be expanded. Now the base have room for a science lab, a greenhouse test and some crew quarter

Some kerbal where sent to oversee the assembly process as not all can be performed by remotly controlled probe.

Year 4 day 191 : Munboot III

After the succes of the Cubedrop, the psa try new format, of smaller and lighter lander. The main goal is to get a lander under 1t with it's booster included. Of course this will limit the number of scientific instrument the lander can carry.

The PSA engineer have come with the idea of the piledrop:

The PSA also tried a new strategy to lunch cheaply it's probes in the Kerbin system, by mainly using solidfuel booster to do the heavy lifting in orbits.

The fight went perfectly, and the lander landed in a creater near the north pole of mun

After the success on Duna and Dres the PSA has setted it's eyes on Jool. The green giant and it's multiple moon surely has a lots of scientific potential. Speacking of science the engineers have created a new type of engine and strap it on the new exploratino probe lunched to Jool.

This mission to Dres is was the first successfull mission to Dres. The first prob was lunch in the wrong window and is now lost in deep space.

As this probes is to be opreated alone, it carry a large communication anthena and the heavy and small instument. It come at the cost of fuel, the probe was not capable of reaching its last objective, the polar orbit.

History Recap year 2 : Redeners I

Redeners is the first mission to the Duna system. It has the goral of bringing probes to duna and Ike. This was a particular lunch as it comprise of 4 probes and a relay/bus. The Relay need to carry a large communication anthena to keep in transmition with the Space center. The other 2 smaller probes has goal to scan Duna and Ike, the "heavy" type of probes will carry large scientific instrument and go equatorial orbit. The "small" type will go polar and carry only small instruments.

Here is the relay in the shadow of Duna.

The transfer to ike for the heavy probe had gone well and "Redeners I - IHP is in place

Sadly, the small version has declared a fuel leak and cause the main engine to fail en route. The probe is now lost in the Duna system.

This fate was not encounter by the Duna small probe; now sitting in polar obit around duna :

The mission was complicated and the PSA takes notes as it was maybe too ambitious if this was to be replicated on other body (specifically Jool)

The search for a good lander continue with the next contender, the CubeDrop (that look like a house, but "House Drop" was a deposed name and the PSA has lost the trial, and nobody want to talk about that in the space center, why did you bring it up anyway?)

It has successfully landed on Mun and everybody had given a go for the next objective of the PSA, the red planet, Duna.
