House of the Dragon S3 Hype Post

i did the press junket for House of the Dragon Season 3 yesterday, and it was a WILD time. kinda like getting married: there's lots of running around and putting on clothes and hair and makeup and people asking fun questions, and then big emotions and crowds

favourite question was the reporter who asked me what kind of dragon I would want and I got to gush about the Eragon series for like 5 minutes. She said my answer was very detailed and I was like "i'm a lesbian and a tumblr girlie, if you ask me what kind of dragon I want I'm like "Do you want to see drawings?""

I got Brian and Nicki, the glam team from Philosophy Tube, to style me for the day, which was an awesome time. If I'm coming up my whole team is coming up

Amnesty named me People’s Human Rights Champion for exposing a scandal in British healthcare. My team and I found abuse, neglect, conversion therapy, and deaths, all ignored by NHS managers.

This was a group effort. Thanks to the crew, fact-checkers, lawyers, journalists, and the team at Nebula who helped bring this scandal to light. And to my friend Jess O'Thompson from the Good Law Project for collecting the award on my behalf!

shut off the water you say? good plan! that was my first idea, unfortunately the stopcock is sealed behind a wooden panel. now that's good design!

building manager said to call an emergency plumber so i did. god bless them, he did arrive within 30 mins in the middle of the night

emergency plumber Ts&Cs be like "you owe us a million pounds an hour and your firstborn child" sure man just fix this toilet or the office workers below me are gonna be very soggy tomorrow morning

I have to pay them with my own money tonight when they're done but I will of course be forwarding the invoice to my landlady and asking her to pay me back. that's not gonna be a nice message to wake up to on monday morning, feel a bit bad - she is nice, i know she'll pay me back
