My sorors are beautiful <3
A girl's best accessories are her letters
Greek Life tab
I see some discouraging and ignorant things in that tab and have a strong urge to educate firmly. But then I have to sit back and breathe, file the screennames away, and conduct myself as a PHInomenal woman of Klass should. In short. Do your research for YOURSELF. Go OUT and SEE, HEAR, and FEEL Greek Life with your own eyes, ears, and hearts.
"Sorority Girl"
Phi Nu Kappa Sorority, Incorporated prides itself on it's klassy and sophistikated women. Our tag is "The Essence of Feminism".
I am the first to say that I hate stereotypes and there is no such thing as the "typical sorority girl" and women in sororities are not just carbon copies of each other. So when people ask me why then did I join my particular org or how do I defend our tag and such.
Simply with an open mind.
The Essence of Feminism.
There are many different levels of femininity. I have sorors who wear at least 4 inch heels every day. I have sorors who wear flats everyday. I have sorors who will never be seen in a pair of heels. I have sorors who wear skirts and dresses and make up and waist length hair. I have sorors who wear hoodies and basketball shorts. I have sorors who are a mixture of both and fall in between.
Feminism and Femininity are not concrete things. There is not only one way to show your femininity.
I hate the idea that sorority girls are stuck up, preppy, i'm better than you, type women.
Yes we love that we can say that all of us are classy, sophisticated, women. But we are also dynamic women. No two of us are exactly alike.
My psisters are nurses, teachers, soldiers, entrepreneurs, students, wives, mothers, photographers. We are heterosexual, bisexual, lesbian. We are skinny, thick, plus size. We have smokers we have non smokers. We are permed and pressed and we are natural and kinky. We are Black, White, Latina, and more.
What I love about Greek Life is the diversity within it. There is no one thing you can say a sorority girl is except for dedicated and committed.
There are sororities meant for strictly academics, that are strictly religious, strictly community service, strictly socializing/partyting, and there are sororities that mix two or more purposes.
There are no exceptions to the stereotypes you hear. The stereotypes are the unfortunate exceptions.

Considering joining a sorority.
Don’t know if I should though. Any thoughts, guys? Reasons to or not to? Lemme know.
The only reasons not to that I can think of are all stereotypes. And like all stereotypes they only represent a small number of what they are actually supposed to define. That being said the best way to find an organization you can be happy with that will be happy with you is to 1) DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH - about different organizations and about yourself and 2) GET OUT THERE AND TALK TO EVERYONE - there may be an org that starts on the bottom of your list but go out and meet the members see how they treat you and treat each other you may feel you fit in perfectly.
More importantly. When yo find the org that you belong to, you'll know it. You'll feel it. That sounds corny but it is seriously so true.
ProdigI took a trip to Cincinnati to visit her sandz AptitYde, AristoKrat, and KeYnote
Awwwwh. Some of my sandz and I . Love these women to DEATH.
So yeah, Tau Kappa Phi, Inc. is an extremely tight knit PHamily of orgs. And these women are my sandz (they krossed the same semester as I did). More importantly they krossed WHEN I did. They had their probate the same night, same place as I did. I knew them as my Bruhs before I knew their names. I knew AristoKrat was my Kappa twin from day 1. Anywho I talk to all my sandz but these three bug me allllllll the time. So I took a 20 hour greyhound and went to visit for a week. It was worth it =)
2 times for the Klub.
