Instead of using the big torch to burning, I finally found a perfect smaller micro blow torch. It gave me a good shaped pattern.
The 4 photos at the bottom are the process of how to remove the unnecessary part.
Laser cut the MDF board and fix them on the fabric in order by the staple.
Final Portfolio
Final Design Research Report
Final render for the site.
The drawing and rendering of how to hanging fabric and fix the light projector.
All the texture I capture from Greyfriars Chapel and Franciscan garden.
I continuously buy three different types and strength of 12V fan, in order to experiment with the Arduino coding, trying to control the wind speed that I intend to recreate from the site.
Code of recording and recreating the wind speed.
Gluing the coloured cellophane on the fabric with the toothpick is too slow.... Aiming to change it to the syringe.
Top: It is illustrated that the path and the viewspoints of vistors and how they are going to interact with the installation in this plan.
Second: There will be a projector beside the installation in the the exhibition. A video will be filmed in Greyfriars Garden to show the visitor that how the inastallation looks like and how it interactt with people on the real site with natural environment.
Third: The section shows the direction and position of lighting projecting and the projector. Further more, it also explain the movement of the fabric changing by time and how people will feel and perceive the shadow underneath the fabric.
Finally finished the cutting for the fabric, so I started to test the direction and placement of the lighting project source to see which one would perform better.
