Gosh, I was really really hoping Marinette wouldn't just get akumatized in some random s6 episode
And the summery isn't helping either. Let's hope the message isn't just again gonna be about how Marinette is never ever ever ever allowed to be thought negatively about or even just questioned when reality and her suspicious or straight up bad behaviour seem to line up that way, because that "unfairly tortures her uniquely pure heart". Please ignore the glaring hypocrisy of Marinette in Sublimation having been one wrong move from Adrien away from accusing him of straight up cheating because she couldn't handle him so much as talking to a new girl. Or Marinette in Daddycop straight up blaming Adrien for daring to tell her "No, I don't wanna date today. Let's date tomorrow" because it "ruins their whole future together" while SHE totally had "nothing to do" with him not wanting to have a date that day when she already had plans with her friends. Nope, according to her sobbing that was totally Adrien's fault and she was nothing but the blameless victim. Something the episode, in fact, didn't resolve. She dropped the belief that the evening was some magical event of fate, that's why she stopped in general. But if the akuma hadn't pulled her out of it, she wouldn't have stopped blaming Adrien whatsoever and declared their relationship as over without ever so much as having communicated the importance of the evening to him.
I just have 0 hope left that Adrien isn't gonna be held responsible for absolutely everything here. Marinette's every whim, every bit of discomfort, everything hurtful she may genuinely be doing again in the episode. He's just gonna be told again that all of her emotions and actions were his responsibility and therefore this was HIS failure and HE has to do better. This is all the show ever does. I would love to be proven wrong, but nothing in the show in any way backs up that hope. It's ALWAYS Adrien's fault for not having worshipped enough or not taken enough accountability for Marinette's actions and behaviour.
Why should it now suddenly be any different?
But hey, it's fine. Marinette will "forgive him" for his torturous failure. Isn't she just the purest and most amazing girlfriend ever who he should be grateful for that she manages to love him?
