Coming back for literally 5 seconds to say that Netflix purposely dragging out Steel Ball Run’s release for marketing purposes makes me so angry. There is no good way to slice it. The manga is ongoing and has been since 1987, Steel Ball Run is the 7th part and at best it’s been waiting since 2011 (15 years) and at worst since 2004 (22 years). Fucking unnecessarily sick and cruel. I was starting to hyperfixate back on it and I can feel it dying just as quick, I was so excited because I’ve been having such a rough few months. Fuck you Netflix

A while ago I discovered @nebrasska-alasska amazing fanfic 'Balled of the Golden Phantom' and fell in love with it, so I've been working on this piece to express my appreciation for it and my own headcanons I guess (More appreciation and Sonadow Headcanon below- so pls continue reading :D )

I seriously can't find proper words to describe my feeling.😭😭😭Such a wonderful and amazing work. I accidentally found this fic in an evening, and then I spent the whole night reading it. The idea of reincarnation is brilliant...I love it so much! And you writing is so peak. You can't image how fast my heart was beating when I read the scene that Lancelot and Arthur were in the garden and talking. That scene is definitely one of my favorite and I love it. I also felt so heartbreaking when Arthur was about to die, and he confessed his love and recited Lancelot's poem.😭😭😭I literally bursted into tears.The plot itself is good enough, but your outstanding writing make this fic even better. Lancelot and Arthur's story is so impressive. When the story comes to the second part, I really can't help myself but read with saddness.🥲But the second part is amazing, too. Sonic and Shadow is not Arthur and Lancelot. I know that the bad ending of Arthur and Lancelot will never be able to be reversed or fixed, which really breaks my heart.🥲 But I'm still glad to see that in this life, Sonic and Shadow have a chance to be together, and eventually they do. This fic is so impressive that I re-read it from time to time.(I firstly read it at June)

It seriously warms my heart that people love that fic after all this time, and to such a degree. I'm so honoured to get to read all of the details you wrote and enjoyed; I seriously don't think I have the words to express how much I appreciate it.

Thought I'd take a shot in the dark, but would anyone happen to have/know about the dirkjake fic where Dirk is a demon who makes deals with people to get their souls and he gets Jake's but slowly falls in love with him across his lifetime? I'm pretty sure it was a oneshot, and there was this super cute scene of the two of them having dinner in this really expensive place on the Eiffel Tower. Jake dies at the end and lives in Dirk's apartment.

I loved that fic so so much, if anyone happens to have anything about it I'd be so grateful 🙏

Deltarune Chapter 3/4 Spoilers

I think I’ve finally come up with a plausible theory for how the Dark Worlds are opened but Darkners still have incredibly detailed personalities and backstories.

This idea comes from a few disclaimers I thought about while making it.

Firstly, Dark Worlds aren’t on a separate plane of existence or anything. I originally used this to try and fit some stuff together, but I realized it just doesn’t work with Ralsei’s explanation of the parallels between the Light and Dark Worlds. The space in a Light World no longer exists when a Fountain occupies it, so calling it a separate plane, as if they co-exist, seems contradictory, especially when Ralsei also says Dark Worlds are illusions.

Secondly, Darkners take attributes from their Light World counterparts (and the creation of a Fountain is a rebirth of sorts).

And lastly, every, or nearly every place in the Light World has the potential to be a Dark one. I say this because I think this is what keeps the Light/Dark World balance. Every place has dormant (or potential) states in darkness. Opening one Dark Fountain does not throw this off balance because light still surrounds it. Multiple Dark Fountains, however, create potential for Dark Worlds to eclipse the Light counterparts, amalgamating them so much that their origin points cease to exist. Darkners would all turn to stone during The Roaring because not only can they not properly interact with the Light World (which would no longer exist with so much darkness), but also not have a proper starting point where they become Darkners from a specific Dark Fountain. All of the darkness would cancel itself out, leaving the Lightners to try and survive the universal terror that needs multiple Dark Fountains that makes up the Titans.

This idea mostly surrounds itself with retroactivity, so hopefully to make it less complicated, here’s a timeline of my thought process.

1. A Dark Fountain is opened.

2. A Dark World is created, contorting the space it used to occupy in the Light World into an illusion. Darkners are created from inanimate objects into their new forms.

3. Darkners 'live out their lives'. I imagine that Darkners not only personify certain characteristics from their Light World counterparts, but they also 'live' what would have been their lives as soon as they're created. It's almost as if they live what will become their memories at present in the blink of an eye, where they aren't manufactured, necessarily. I think their Light World memories appear just how we expect them to, but this moment where their memories are being created is still one that is influenced by the Darkners' choices. Spamton and Tenna's relationship still happens on their own accord because of their choices. Ralsei feels as though he's been waiting his whole life for Kris and Susie even if it's maybe not even been a day since the Castle Town fountain was created. Seam still has some sort of strange history with Jevil that goes beyond their Light World counterparts just sitting in the same room or something. Just thought I'd use this as a bit of a clearer picture.

4. Darkners are 'placed' in the present. This is more of a fulfillment step than anything. With their pasts being retroactive, I almost imagine it as everything coming together so that Darkners appear how they're supposed to. Their memories sort of catch up to them in the present, making them full characters with in-depth personalities without it being inauthentic by the nature of their creation. The Dark Fountains create beings out of almost nothing, but as soon as it does, some of their aspects become things that already happened years ago to them, even if the Fountain is a few seconds old.

Darkners seem to be very aware of not only the prophecy, but that they are made from Fountains, even if they do have lots of memories. I wonder if the possibility of darkness keeps their Darkner forms somewhat dormant in the Light World, too.

Mild Deltarune Spoilers - Has there been any reference to how Darkners' lives... work?

This is something I've been thinking about with the new release, and does any Darkner ever really say how their life correlates to the Dark Fountain they're from? Obviously Darkners who aren't in their native fountain will turn to stone, but what about before a fountain is properly created?

Ralsei mentions that he's been 'waiting his whole life' for Kris and Susie in Chapter 1, and I don't think it's too much of a stretch to say that the closet fountain always has existed to keep the Light World in balance, and could only be accessed by a Soul. However, Queen later on not only knows how and where her world was created, but mentions things before it happens. Tenna does something similar.

Darkners remember what happens to their inanimate Light World counterparts, so does that mean the Dark Worlds are a different plane of existance that Lightners can only access with a fountain? Spamton and Tenna have their own TV show until Spamton obtains the Shadow Crystal, meaning that could only happen if their Dark World counterparts were in play somewhere else, right?

Do all of the Dark Worlds constantly exist somewhere else? Or is there just some really dumbed down version of the same events happening in the Light World that have far bigger implications when the Dark Fountain can be accessed? I'm curious just how long Darkners exist for in their Dark World forms before a fountain even exists.
