I am absolutely one of those girls who says “makeup doesn’t change my ability to do a job” and “my worth is not based on how I look” and I really do love that my mum showed me that.

However I have a friend who told me her mum told her it was like a love letter to herself, the time she took for her self to get ready every morning. And I still remember how beautiful she looked putting her makeup on in the morning taking that time for herself. I can only hope to feel that one day x
