Enzo Morrisini
Data Dump under the cut
--
Age: 25 yrs
Appearance: Hazel eyes, blonde hair, tanned olive skin, very fucking tall. Not as broad as Nico but he definitely gets close in height. Piercing in one ear, no tattoos (yet).
Background:
Enzo was lab grown, using the same tech Miranda’s father used to create her but a lot of his ‘building blocks’ are the Nico’s (who was in turn, ‘engineered’ from egotistical Giovanni Morrisini too although still carried to term by his mother).
Obviously, Enzo has a pretty obvious physical resemblance to Nico.
He was still raised as a Morrisini, still paraded around as one of Giovanni’s crowning achievements but far enough apart from the ‘core’ family he didn’t have much to do with the Villa (although he does remember it). His childhood was all private tutoring and sterile rooms and training for hours and hours each day. It wasn’t cruel, he was fortunate for that, but it was fairly isolating. He isn’t always great socially, a little too blunt and he has little patience for bullshit, so he didn’t make the cut for the 37’s like his brother. Nico at least knows how to hold his tongue. Enzo does not.
Nico didn’t have much to do with Enzo and didn’t know Enzo went into the phoenix program – there was a fairly decent age difference between Enzo and the rest of the Morrisini kids and Nico always regarded Enzo as a threat so they were never close. The last memory Enzo has of his interactions with Nico face to face is not a happy one.
Enzo loves to eat, loves to cook. It’s his quiet time and his favourite memory as a kid was sitting at the kitchen counter while his carer and the chefs prepped meals. That was the one time he wasn’t being tested or studied or pushed. And Nico can cook too (food is a big thing with all the Morrisini’s), but Enzo is on whole other level. In another life, he probably could have been a Michelin Star chef. He can play piano like Nico, but he’s not particularly interested in it or anything creative. He’s very analytical.
He went through at least a five years of phoenix training/upgrades as a teenager - he would have met Ollie there. They looked up to the 37′s as heroes, watched their displays and fights in the arena put on for investors. He privately enjoyed seeing Zeus’s name get knocked off the top spot by Hurricane over and over. You’ll never hear admit he was a fanboy out loud though.
Personality wise, he’s fairly neutral. He can take a little bit to warm up and let down his guard but it would be a surprise if he was ever the first one to do so. He takes his cues around vulnerabilities from others, rarely volunteers information, but he’d be happy to meet someone wherever they are.
As a fighter, he’s quite measured. He likes to know all the facts and make a plan before going on the attack. He’s good at pulling back long enough to assess a situation and change course accordingly. It’s not often he would ever do anything on pure impulse. He can be quite… ruthless in some ways when it comes to getting the objective done in an op, even if it might cause collateral damage along the way. He wasn’t put into the 37’s or the 14’s like Ollie but into a much smaller, covert unit that need an unshakable, unemotional touch. He’s not bloodthirsty, he doesn’t enjoy it, but he has a scary ability to flip a mental switch in his mind and turn off his empathy and just get on with it. It’s also something he’s privately afraid of. He agonizes about it, especially when confronted with someone like Luca or Ollie who don’t have the ability to put things aside like he can. Sometimes he worries if maybe he’s broken or inhuman or if this is the way he was made. And sometimes he wonders what he would do if someone he loved was between him and his objective.
