Max Wanger
Many photographers will have heard of the ‘rule of thirds’ where the subject of a photograph will be positioned based on the frame being divided into an imaginary grid. This usually means that the subject ends up on one side or the top or bottom rather than the centre. Max turns this rule on its head and leaves the viewer wondering which part of the photograph is the subject. Add the dreamy colours and non-standard aspect ratios and you’ve got a winner!

Nick Dilallo - New York Numbers
A set of photos by Nick Dilallo. What makes these interesting? Would one photo on it’s own be as striking as all of them in a group? Notice that although each photograph is different, the number is central in each one; this ties them together along with the high saturation of colour in each image.
