Berserker considered, thoughtfully, the options presented. He tapped his chin and hummed. The feigning of an important decision seemed real enough. Would the choice hinge on her happiness or disappointment later? He had not sampled either. The delightful exquisite wrapping of the chocolate verses the colorful gummies of different varieties. How might either taste! Now, he couldn’t decide. Vlad adjusted the basket on his arm. His impatience drifted away somewhat. Allowing some peasantry pleasure was something he could afford today.
“ I cannot be sure until I’ve sampled them both.” Reaching for the chocolate, he nodded toward the gummies for her to grab. “ Provide me some of your candy and I will give you half of this. If neither are to our liking, we shall find someone who enjoys them. ”
Not a bad answer, even if he avoided the question. As the little smile that formed told, she was okay with it as long as she got something out of it. “Thank uncle!” The blonde’s gratitude was stressed in cutesy sing-song. She’s definitely already decided that uncle had a better ring to it than Berserker. Picking two bags of gummies, she placed them in the basket.
Skipping ahead, she gestured for them to leave the aisle. The earlier thoughts appeared to have gone away like dissipating smoke, giving way for her beaming left and right. She seemed off in her own thoughts. “Valentine’s day is really intense. It’s like the number one day to become someone’s cute girlfriend. Looking for dates, watching cheesy movies all-day, thinking of presents... I’m glad they follow up with sales for candy. Although, I’m not sure if that’s things old people still care about. Have you sent anyone chocolate, uncle?”
