The sound of the waves collide.
Smokescreens.
A rush of blood to the head.
Slowly, then all at once.
There is a light that never goes out.
Esoteric.

“Thoughtfulness dwells silently in black and white: contrasting shadows against illuminating light. Vibrant moments found within greyscale tones accentuate emotions, textures, flesh and bones, turning technicolor visions into monochromatic dreams. Sometimes, the lack of color is never what it seems.”
Banawe: her name reminds me of whispering winds dancing through mountains, trees and bodies of water–exhilarating and inspiring. We’ve been following each other on tumblr since I began my journey into self-portraits and I’ve loved her work ever since. It’s always been a dream of mine to be seen through her perspective. There’s a striking gentleness in her photographs that words cannot describe, but in their softness they resonate such enigmatic energy. Her images allure like waves caressing the shore, full of secrets that leave you longing for more. There’s a depth in her art that I find myself drawn to–perhaps, a reflection of her love for nature: flowing, ever-changing and infinitely mysterious. Everything she creates is touched by her understanding of subtle yet powerful feminine beauty. She’s a poetic observer of the universe, unfolding hidden glimpses of truth in seemingly mundane places: silhouettes, landscapes and faces. She finds fleeting moments–whether melancholic or exuberant–and preserves them with grace, showing how life’s imprints are greatly defined by how we choose to perceive what’s in front of us. Along with her photography, I’ve always admired her way with words. Going through her archives, I found this gem: “Photographs are narratives - some of which are understood collectively while others are profound enough in their singularity. These stories cross borders, that even those that remain unspoken connect us in the deep.” - @photographicimprints // Photo Diaries I’ve always felt connected to this woman. Although we’re islands apart, I’m grateful I have these photos as a reminder of that fun afternoon. I have nothing but love and respect for her. She’s all kinds of wonderful and beautiful <3 I’m looking forward to the next time, Nawe :) Thank you, always.

"Time To Go" Some people leave for reasons they try to understand but can never be certain of. As they hit the road, bringing an enormous amount of ambivalence, every mile ahead becomes a daunting task of moving forward then they start to complain on the dreaded undertaking of what the cosmos has given to them. The taste of hesitation in going back is starting to arise but also recognizing that there is no purpose of coming back, even looking back is even universally impossible. Then they start to realize that there is always a reason why answers do not come around and the less they think about it, the better they feel.
