La Plaza Vieja, Habana, y Las Terrazas
Havana, Cuba (March/April 2016)
I’m back! It’s been a while since I’ve uploaded (okay a few years), but I’ve recently re-discovered my love for photography. I had the opportunity to go to Cuba over spring break (I know; I’m an upperclassman now!), and I was especially excited to go because of the photo ops.
In order from top to bottom: Cuba is FULL of green - these palm trees were just a few that I saw on the trip. The lush vegetation makes the country beautiful, quaint, and very untouched by industrialism. The second picture is from a site up for UNESCO World Heritage recognition - the National Art Schools. It’s a stunning landscape still used by painters, sculptors, and other artists alike. The innovation is incredible, and the property is magnificent. The rough stonework is surrounded by works of art created by the students that go there. Cuba is also home to many classic cars - the vibrant colors pop off the screen and give the country an air of being stuck in history.
