The Rose Legacy Chapter 6.14 - Predictable

I swallowed hard. "Well, maybe he won't be that upset," he said softly. "There's nothing wrong with making a family. We... we could get married. This could just be... a happy accident?"

I didn't really know what I was saying. Marriage had never even crossed my mind. I felt too young for it, but I did want to spend the rest of my life with Addy. There was no one else I would rather be with.

"Married? You want... to get married?"

"Do you?" I asked, suddenly nervous, realizing that she could easily say no or break up with me at any time she wanted to. She took my hand and rubbed the back of it with her thumb.

"Yeah, I guess," she said.

It wasn't exactly the joy I'd hoped for. I kissed her cheek.

"You know this is all up to you," I said. "We don't have to."

"No, I want to," she said, more earnest now. "I love you, Oli. I'm sorry, I just..."

I hugged her gently and stroked her hair. "I know, it's alright. We don't have to talk about this right now."

She nodded a little and I just held her close. This wasn't going to be easy, but I hoped to make this as painless for her as I could.

The Rose Legacy Chapter 6.13 - Free

I drove to Addy's apartment, calling her while I was on my way to let her know I was coming. As soon as I got there, she opened the door and wrapped me in her arms, pressing comforting kisses to my lips. I dropped my stuff in her living room and let her take me to the bedroom. I kicked off my shoes and she turned on some soft music and wrapped me in blankets, holding me close so I could finally feel safe.

I told her everything that had happened, except I said I had a mental breakdown rather than telling her I was grappling with the wolf. She listened patiently and stroked my hair, telling me I did the right thing by leaving and telling me that my parents would understand someday. I didn't even want to think about what my parents thought. It just made me feel guilty.

I stayed there for the rest of summer and ignored all the calls from my parents. I knew there was nothing they could do about my leaving. I wasn't a minor. They couldn't have the cops drag me back. I really had cut myself free.

The Rose Legacy Chapter 6.12 - Last Summer

The night before Nox left, he knocked on my door and I called for him to come in. I was sitting in my bed on my laptop.

“Hey Oliver,” he said, walking over and sitting on my bed. “I’ve got something for you.”

“Is it more dress shirts?” I asked and smiled a little. He’d given me a number of dress shirts he was never going to wear anymore. I doubted I’d ever wear them either, but they went into my closet anyway.

“Nope, better. Close your eyes and hold out your hand.”

I did as he asked and I felt something heavy and plastic being placed into my hand. I opened my eyes and saw a Volkswagen key fob in my hand. My eyes widened.

“I won’t need it while I’m with the pack, but it’s still mine. It’ll just be long-term borrowing,” he said and winked. We both knew he’d probably never use it again. I set my laptop aside and hugged Nox.

“I’m going to miss you so much,” I said softly.

He hugged me back. I’ll miss you too, Oliver. Promise you’ll visit me in Moonlight sometime soon?“

"Yeah, of course,” I promised.

The next day, he left with my mom and they drove off to Nox’s new home, and I was finally left alone with my dad.

Hey guys! Just wanted to let you know some stuff so you don’t all unfollow me for being absent lol

so tomorrow I’m moving out of my campus apartment and back to my parents house for a few months for the summer (the packing is why I haven’t been able to post) and then I’ll be heading to Florida for a one week vacation starting on Sunday! While I’m in Florida, I won’t be able to post at all since I won’t be playing any sims. My next chapter will also be delayed for that same reason. Additionally! If you’ve been following me for a while, you might know that my parents house has extremely limited internet so it’s harder for me to be active online over the next three months, but I’ll try my best!

Chapter 6.11 - Trustworthy

When everything was jammed into the back of my dad's car, my dad and Nox got in while I hung around by the door with Addy. I was desperate to make our last few minutes last as long as possible. I desperately wished I could just say goodbye to my dad and go back to her apartment. She took my hands and smiled up at me.

"It'll be okay," she said. "It's just a few months and you'll be back. Plus you can visit me. Or I can visit you if I get some time off work. It'll be fine, trust me. We'll see each other before you know it."

Her optimism helped, but it only made me miss her more. I wrapped my arms around her and hugged her tightly.

"We'll make plans. I'll come back within the month, I swear. And we'll text every day."

She giggled and kissed me. "Yeah, every day."

a little slice of Seymour and Fisher’s mornings (i keep meaning to fill out their bios but I havent gotten around to it) Fisher always wakes up first and has to wake Seymour up, then cooks a full breakfast for them to sit down and eat. Then Fisher drags Seymour to work and Seymour usually falls asleep in the car.
