Day 11 of 31
Burning the midnight oil for a paper again. Took a couple of breaks to do my workout, so that’s another 100 in the books (or app as the case may be).
Nearly finished with the final draft of my paper. Need to give it a once over, print it so my wife can give it the red pen treatment in the morning, and then collapse. It’s been a long day, but I’m in the home stretch.
I too am writing the last of my term papers for grad school. I have been revising all day and the words are starting to blur. Good luck to you.

The Bear (2015)
A comic inspired by Finnish mythology. I searched a lot information about bear myths and the rituals bear-hunting involved in Finland. Basically bear was considered equal to humans, although it was very feared and honoured and speaking it’s name was a taboo. That’s why a huge feast was required after killing a bear. On some occasions they chose a girl to represent bear’s bride.

*nods* Bears are given especial treatment in a lot of cultures, including a number of indigenous American cultures, the Ainu of Japan, and more. David Rockwell’s “Giving Voice to Bear” outlines some of the incredible rites created to honor bears.
We need to open a dialogue and talk about the Japanese refugees in Malaysia. They are seeking shelter after the fallout of 2011. It isn’t just Syrians who are trying to start a life. #anthropology #refugees

Steroid Withdrawals
I was put on high doses of prednisone for asthma exacerbation. Today was my last dose and now I'm going through Cushing withdrawals. The muscle and joint pain is so bad right now. So is the fatigue and nausea. So now here I am awake at 1:30am because it hurts all over. It happens every time I'm on them. I know it's more important to breathe but this lasts for days.

I did some damage to my tendon which caused a hematoma. It is still slowly seeping but hopefully it will stop. I didn't hit it or anything, it just appeared while getting my daughter ready for school. I have to take it easy for a few days.

This sums up quite a bit. Not that we don't already face the environmental dangers, illnesses, and stress.
