Iemon Tea themed mask made with traditional Japanese Tenugui (Towel)

NYC stay strong! I used a self portrait for this! and I also used an image from my own work that I took long time ago. Iâm working hard to become a photographer! Iâve been learning different new things at P.I art center, hopefully reaching my goal soon!Â

[Mona mask]2020 will be remembered in history as an era of lockdown, face covering and social distancing. I was hand crafted these bejeweled face coverings encrusted in pearls that unleash our inner diva, express our lavish side, even if we have to wear a face mask when we go out, and yes, we do go out, more so than ever.

Eco friendly- wine cork face mask
This eco friendly mask is made of wine corks which were available during Lockdown for the pandemic. Ironically, wine deliveries were always on time although masks which I ordered in need didnât arrive after all. The most challenging part was to cut a lot of hexagon shapes from fragile and soft wine corks by hand. Â

Glitch Effect
Iâm hoping that corona virus is going to finish before we disappear(be hided ) and we forget smilingâŠ
we are always strong to fight it out. I wanted to describe we have a strong color in our mind(body) as a energy.
Thank you

The concept of this mask is regeneration, reproduction, and resilience.
Trees appear to be dead during the long and harsh winters, but they bloom again in spring.
I want to express this hope and resilience during this period of uncertainty in our world.
This mask is made from scraps of fabric.
I created individual petals to compose the flower as I wanted to breathe new life into things that were supposed to be thrown away.
I named the mask âBloomâ as it represents our growth and strength.
Wearing masks has become the new normal.Â
I wanted to make a mask that was more than just a symbol of protection, but also a symbol of promise.Â
The promise of another chance to bloom again.

I got inspiration when I saw the bird was carrying a flower.
I made this mask looks birdâs beak and feather using scrap of cloth (recycle)
There are many kind of colors, patterns and textures that express people who lives in NYC.
Now, we are walking towards new era together.
when this pandemic is over,
we all can fly high to the sky like a Bird.
we all can boom like a beautiful Flower.

This is my glitched self portrait. I am so happy to participate and i am going to participate in both contests if possible since I really need it.

This is my homemade reversible mask, i will make another post since this doesnât let me post two picturesÂ

Nyc stay strong and keep smiling! â„ïž

As a coffee lover, I was thrilled to use these filters for the mask. It is recyclable, made with pulp and useful for this time. It fits perfectly to the face, it can be worn in two different ways and it goes with any outfit because of its convenient color.Â
Andrea Munoz ([email protected])
Everyone has a battle inside even when theyâre smiling.
I made this concept because this is how I feel. I live in my own world deep in my insecurities but I rather smile than show how I really feel.Â
The oneiric background shows that youâre inside of this woman mind and we can see through the mirror how people see her but thatâs not the reality. Glitch effects shows thatâs something wrong with her in real life and appears behind her in her mind because is the opposite side of her.Â

Waterfall Meditation at Home
Full of anxiety in these tough times? An NYCâs small bathroom may help.
Just close your eyes and meditate, like a buddhist monk does, in the shower at home while washing away the virus and fear.
You may find the process is a struggle while being torn between despair and hope that make you fall apart psychologically.
But just stay strong and pull yourself together. When you open your eyes next time, you will find a way to stay yourself, calmness, love and peace.
