ahhh thank you so much!! i’d highly recommend looking at painting tutorials on either here, deviantart, or youtube. figure out what painters you like & what they do well and imitate those aspects of their work. other than that, just fuck around and have fun, there’s no wrong way to do art, just figure out what you like making and grind as much as necessary to achieve the look you’re going for. good luck anon!!!! 💕✨

How do you give your line art so much life??? Mine always feels so flat and bleh

ahh thank you for the compliment!! i usually do really loose gesture drawing thumbnails of poses first. try thinking about stuff like-- where is this person putting their weight, and how can i emphasize/stylize that? if this part of the body is moving, what direction is it headed? where is the force coming from (like a punch usually comes from the shoulder, fabric and hair are limp and trail along behind whatever point they are connected to, etc)? how rigid are these forms-- like, what parts are squishy, what parts are stiff, what is affected by gravity and how? etc etc. uh uhh i kind of rambled but i hope any of that helps, or at least gets your brain gears movin’!!
