Frieza's tail !

Watching the Broly movie again (for the 1000th time ᵉʰᵉʰᵉ(*/∇＼⭒))) and I think I found something really cute about Frieza.

He's tapping on his chair pod so softly, like a kid who just can't wait to meet his new toys (≧艸≦ ♡)

I think it's a callback to a scene in EP 47 of Dragon ball Z.

Yet here he's expressing pure impatience instead.

I really like how much detail they put into using his tail like an extended limb to express more of his internal emotions!

Not sure if that was Akira Toriyama's original intention or something the anime team added later, but I couldn't find anything similar in the manga.

Why does Cell in the anime look like a fully grown, strong, evil, and handsome man?

But in the manga, he looks very young, his face is pretty—almost cute.

Why such a big difference?

That's because Toriyama likes final bosses who appear weak but are actually very dangerous. When the editors wanted the best-looking villain possible, Toriyama poured all his energy into designing Perfect Cell, but never forgot to draw him like a cat—cute and cuddly but actually a perfect and ruthless hunter.

And the pressure from the other characters in the story made the animators see Cell as a ferocious tiger and draw him differently from the original.
