Cell X is female. XD

The lack of Saiyan DNA/Saiyan DNA doesn't manifest, making her closer to the insect-like characteristics that govern her basic biology (female predatory insects are larger than males).

However, we know that perfect Cell typically has balanced Saiyan DNA. Therefore, his height is significantly reduced because, among Saiyans, females are smaller than males, similar to humans.

Of course, even though Cell seems to have been created genderless, his true gender is known in the official Japanese team. But when it was released internationally, the team chose to use "he" instead of "she," because it better suited his personality, and even Japanese fans liked it because he looked like a truly perfect young man. And, thinking of him as male or intersex fulfills the fantasies of many female fans more than his actual gender.

I just noticed that Cell Max looks like the boundary between the second and third forms of Cell. 🤔🤔

As a character who completely disappeared from the main storyline, Toriyama seems to have forgotten how to draw Cell; some body details and organ placements are unfortunately inaccurate. However, there is a clear intention of the artist in the new art style. Cell's form has changed from the strong yet slender he was in the Z series to the delicate, introverted high school boy. Yes! He looks very weak indeed, especially when we remember how thick his armor was. That's why he was perceived as weak by Vegeta and Mr. Satan when they first saw his perfect form.

Cell looks incredibly handsome and cool in the anime and games, befitting his constant presentation as a perfect being. However, in the manga, it's different; there are many images where he resembles a young girl or an innocent child.

In the past, I believed this was the artist's intention in portraying his beautiful image to remind us of his inherent beauty. But as time passed and I learned about Toriyama's subtleties, I reread carefully and discovered that Toriyama intentionally makes Cell appear girlish and innocent whenever he's not trying to be threatening, controlling, or acting like an adult.

These are small hints that truly impressed me.

In fact, among all genetic donors, Cell may be the most similar to Piccolo. 🤔

A sincere review of "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince".

Of course, I have complained about the lighting before, but I fear the complexities of Western society (especially in America) might mislead anyone who sees this into thinking I'm raising this issue to bully Black Snape. Therefore, I'm posting this to sincerely state that "all my frustrations really do concern 'the lighting'."

I hated Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, not because of the novels, but because the movies were too dark!!

The story opens in darkness, Dumbledore takes Harry to talk in the dark, they invite the new Potions teacher (who's hiding in a dark room), I see Draco in the dark, Snape in the dark, teenage romance in the dark, Voldemort's history in the dark, etc.

Okay, I know it's not dark all the time, at least we have Luna—the little fairy who helps us out of the darkness. But after that, everything is dark. Even the scene where Dumbledore conjures fire is dark!!

So when the series cast a Black actor for Snape, I expected it to be an excuse for more light. Snape is an important character, we want to see him clearly; if his skin is so dark, there needs to be more lighting so we can see his facial expressions and demeanor clearly.

But now I think I hate the series. 😭😭

I admit I have no problem with Snape being Black, but I am partly concerned about the fact that electricity bills increase every year. The atmosphere in the films started getting darker from the third movie onwards. But even the first movie in the series feels too dark now.

Black Snape looks really cool in the open air in the photo. But in the trailers that have been released, I can't even see his face (and those of us who have read the books know he doesn't appear in the spotlight very often).

Have you ever noticed?

Why does Cell in the anime look like a fully grown, strong, evil, and handsome man?

But in the manga, he looks very young, his face is pretty—almost cute.

Why such a big difference?

That's because Toriyama likes final bosses who appear weak but are actually very dangerous. When the editors wanted the best-looking villain possible, Toriyama poured all his energy into designing Perfect Cell, but never forgot to draw him like a cat—cute and cuddly but actually a perfect and ruthless hunter.

And the pressure from the other characters in the story made the animators see Cell as a ferocious tiger and draw him differently from the original.

What I really like about looking for information in Japanese is that it helps explain things I couldn't fully understand due to language and cultural barriers. For example, in this post, the poster noted that "Cell has a childlike way of speaking." That helped me begin to understand “why Toriyama didn't see Cell as inherently evil”, and “why some fans in Japan consider Cell more of a clever but ill-mannered child” than “an inescapable villain”.

Alpha

When Towa conducted certain experiments to investigate what would happen if Cell's body and mind were pushed to their limits, children were born.

This one is "Alpha." Although Towa believes these beings cannot be sexed, biologically speaking, it's very clear that Alpha is female.

Alpha is an original character of mine. She's definitely a good girl, but she resembles her mother more than just in appearance. She's a ferocious hunter and enjoys playing with her prey, much like Cell played with Vegeta after Perfect Form.

I drew this picture with my fingers after receiving a (secondhand) iPhone from my aunt as a gift.

I drew a picture with my fingers on my smartphone while I was sleepy. As a result, I colored the wrong layer.

Confess!

I actually ran into a snag in mid-May when my iPad2 screen went black while I was designing the cover. So I took out my scanner that I hadn’t used in fifteen years and connected it to my laptop. It turned out that Windows 10 couldn’t see the device. I tried to install the driver but it damaged it so much that I had to reinstall Windows.

It made me give up and think that I should wait and find a repair shop for my old iPad, or maybe, buy a new scanner. But this morning everything changed when I saw a clip of "drawing on a smartphone with finger".

I felt challenged!!

I experimented with my smartphone, it was too small and not very responsive that I had to zoom in and draw lines. And I finally got it done!

So, I thought I should consider making manga on my smartphone. Because as an artist, nothing should stop me from creating.

This is Gene and Alpha. I drew them after writing the second part of "Female insect" in AO3, because I wanted to see them together.

Of course, when you see their appearance, you can guess who gave birth to them. But they have different fathers. Towa is behind the whole thing, and Cell hates what happened.

The spots and eye colors of Gene and Alpha tell about their fathers. The silver and red in Gene comes from Gohan's (the Beast) hair and eyes, and the orange and blue in Alpha come from Gokua's (Bojack's follower's) hair and eyes. These things make Cell feel like hell every time he sees them.

Saying this, Cell unfolded it's arms and smiled happily. It was terrifying, fascinating, and beautiful.

この完璧で歪な生き物が目を閉じてじっとしている様は、人形のように美しくも不気味で。

The appearance of this perfect, twisted creature, still with its eyes closed, is both beautiful and creepy, like a doll.

透けるような薄紫の、いかにも造り物じみた冷たく不気味な瞳。 その完全なシンメトリーの相貌から生み出される口角を上げただけの微笑みは、酷く完璧で不気味極まりない。

Translucent purple from the cold and terrifying eyes that seemed artificial. The smile that appeared from his perfectly symmetrical face, where just the corners of his mouth were lifted, looked perfect and terrifying.

*I tried to think of these descriptions, but when I drew them, they were not quite right, so I had to draw them over and over again until they were perfect in my opinion. But then I found out it was very easy, I just had to add a "shadow". :P
