Mel giggle-squeaking quietly after sitting down in Frank’s chair in S1E7, because she didn’t expect it to be so far down is so endearing to me.

so i know ive already spoken at length about the symbolism and visual story telling choice to have kingdon ambulance bay conversations slowly get further from the ED as their conversations stray farther from work, but i wanted to point out something else because im insane.

not only do they just occur further away, but each time they speak in the ambulance bay, frank intentionally seeks her out, and each time he is willing to travel a further distance and cause more disruption to his daily routine for her.

now everything is a kingdom cathedral if you’re insane, but is this not progressive storytelling letting us know visually that as he continues to get to know her, he is becoming more and more willing to go out of his way for her and do things that don’t make sense for him to be doing unless his intention is to center her in his life?

just a thought because i’ll never get over it and whatever ambulance bay scene we get in season four is probably going to kill me lol

I think when S3 rolls around, people are going to freak out because we won't get any indication that Frank and Mel have been hanging out outside of work. It won't be until there's something really urgent happening in like S3E3 that a "Frank" slips out.

tbh next season we should personally witness langdon pull up a photo of him at the fort pitt museum when he was a child and be showing it to everyone and tbh mel should be in the background tbh and someone should point that out tbh if im being honest and truthful and and all that shit tbh

I believe that Season Three of The Pitt takes place on November 12th 2026 which is the day after Veteran's Day in the US. Imagine if a patient that Mel treated during her brief time at the VA hospital is a patient in The Pitt and Langdon is treating them and the patient tells him how great Dr King was.

Sorry to literally burst everyone’s bubble but like this here is it… this is the moment that Mel goes from the fascinating trainee who brought something out of him he’d not experienced before to a HUMAN WOMAN (gulp) that he registers as … just as fascinating, smart, and capable as before… but also *attractive* and *court-able* and you could not convince me otherwise.

The lingering look on her lips does not lie. The swallow does not lie. That man’s heart is beating out of his chest and his stomach feels warm and fluttery. He doesn’t know WHY yet, but it’s happening, there’s no turning this train around baby!!!!!

mel is going to have to take out her braid in season 3 for whatever reason in the breakroom and then langdon is gonna walk in and he's literally going to be speechless for a good 5 minutes and then start foaming at the mouth with dilated pupils at the sight

S3 Mel and Frank are such a well-oiled machine that Dr. Al-Hashimi has to remind them to say full sentences out loud sometimes.

Sometime between S2 and S3, Mel will be talking to Frank while doing something else, and he’s quiet, listening, but because he’s quiet she assumes he walked away like everyone does to her all the time and so her voice trails off mid-sentence.

She nearly jumps out of her skin when he asks “And then what happened?”
