I’ve seen multiple people ask why the districts even go to school in The Hunger Games and saying that it wouldn’t matter for them to go but Katniss in the books explains exactly why they go. The talk about Panem propaganda and the dark days and then teach them about the jobs they will be doing when they leave in the coal mines or whatever job they have in that district. This also made me realize so much people do not actually sit and read books they challenge themselves to see if they can read it fast or to move on to the next book as soon as possible without even realizing it but we rush so much to everything in a hurry but we don’t have to do that we can take our time with everything and actually be patient and I think be have really lost that.

the difference between Haymitch and Katniss's narration is so funny. Haymitch would give us everyone's social security number if he knew them, while Katniss wouldn't even tell us her mom's name.
