obsessed with kris using things the player can't see to communicate with other characters. drawing on the window in the diner. 80% as much honey on toast as usual. silly faces and nodding/shaking their head. changing the tone of what we make them say to make it clear that they mean it differently. i love that it's shown time and time again that kris ISN'T apathetic about anything. kris wants friends. kris has boundaries and wants mom to know that what she did made them feel bad. kris wants the people in their life to be happy and kris wants affection. i love kris deltarune

With the new chapter of deltarune releasing I want to talk about something that’s been so blatantly obvious to me but I haven’t seen anyone else talk about or at least I haven’t come across anything suggesting it but, I’ve theorized Dess to be the knight since chapter two, one because she’s a very important character that haunts the narrative and from a writers perspective she must be used in some way given how important she is—and secondly, because of Mother 3

(Spoilers to anyone who hasn’t played Mother 3 and would like to go in blind)

as we know, Lucas’ older twin brother Claus dies and his body is resurrected and he is brainwashed by the main antagonists (the pigmasks) and used as a weapon known as ‘The Masked Man’. His identity isn’t revealed until he’s in the final fight against his brother, where he then regains his memories. It’s so clear that Toby Fox takes lots of inspiration from the Mother series and he’s even admitted that if Mother 3 ever came to the USA that people would realize how unoriginal he is (I’m not repeating that as an insult just to be clear, I think he’s a very creative person) and Noelle and Dess seem to be similar to the twins. Lucas and Noelle and the shy, anxious, younger siblings that hide behind their much more brave, daring, and sociable older siblings (Claus and Dess) and go through difficult changes once their siblings are gone. Lucas mother is dead/Noelles father is in the hospital and Lucas father is cold and distant/Noelles mother is harsh and strict. If Toby Fox did take inspiration for the Holiday sisters from the twins, then it would make sense that the roaring knight is inspired by the masked man.

I knowww I cannot be the only one who really thinks this but I gotta talk about it
