Cardin had always preferred the liquor available in other places. Whatever was available here in England didnāt seem to have the sameĀ ābiteā to it that theĀ privateer preferred. He decided to give this place a shot, having heard a couple of things about it thanks to word of mouth.
And he had to admit, it was halfway decent compared to the vile excuses for rum he had in the other parts of the country. This particular tavern thankfully wasnāt too crowded yet. He desired a more quiet night, at least for today.

A voice speaks out next to him, and he canāt say heās surprised. The man certainly doesnāt look like heās from around here. Too tall, too nicely dressed, and certainly doesnāt soundĀ like heās from around here. Not to say he was perfect, Roman had no doubt this man is hardly a better person than he himself is. But heās at least not likely to hold the titleĀ āpirateā. Buccaneer maybe, but heās not so informal as to be a pirate.

Half the time the Brits couldnāt understand a full Irish accent, he doubts a foreigner would have any better luck.

Itās been a few weeks since Insomnia fell. Romanās job now is to hunt down the Prince, and heās close. But- heās found the Princeās friend and right now that interests him a bit more. The high commander canāt argue too much if he plays around a little bit, given heās not done his job yet. Until Ravus finds his sister, Romanās free to play around with the Prince... or his friends. Namely, this one. Prompto Argentum is a runaway, and Romanās pretty sure he hasnāt told anyone where heās from. If the band on his wrist is anything to go by anyways. This will be fun.
Roman approaches casually. The blonde is talking to a vendor in the market of Lestallum, so itās not like heās doing anything suspicious, and heās not in military garb so as far as anyone around can tell, heās just a well dressed man.Ā āExcuse me young man, are you familiar with the area?ā he asks. He knows the answer, or he assumes he does. A Nif runaway that lived in the crown city likely isnāt familiar with Lestallum, but Roman canāt give away anything yet. He wants to isolate him first.

A tavern is always a good place to lay low. Particularly on the opposite side of England from London. There is still a chance he could be found, but itās very unlikely. The royal military doesnāt care much for the sleazy towns, which is ironic since thatās where they ought to be the most. But, ah well. Romanās not going to complain about having a safe place.
Heās familiar enough with this tavern to approach the bar and lean against it casually. He orders a rum, and drops some coin on the bar. When the mug is set in front of him he takes a long swig and then looks around, taking in what crowd is around. Itās still early evening so thereās not too much of a crowd yet, but itās certainly not empty either.
