When Mack and Will get home from another day of off-season training, you hear the front door and think, Oh, I should probably take a break soon.

But you just figured out how you're going to fit a new article you just downloaded into a section of your thesis, and after spending all morning trying to lock in, only now have you truly reached a good flow with it.

You'll just wrap up this paragraph.

That turns into taking notes on another article, and somewhere in the back of your mind you can hear the shower running— they'll want to order food soon because they're always extra hungry in the summer— okay, but you're only 300 words from your next word count milestone—

Mack drapes himself over your back as Will sits on the edge of your desk, startling you out of your haze.

"Break time," Will demands, nudging you into saving your document. "Come eat with us."

"You didn't even say hi when we got home," Mack whines into your hair.

"Sorry, I just finally got into a really good groove," you start to explain.

Will shakes his head playfully at you. "Yeah, yeah, you're our sexy nerd and we love you. Now give us attention instead of your schoolwork, please and thank you."

Mack won't get off of you until you turn to give him a hello kiss, and when you stand and stretch, Will swoops in for his own.

They each take one of your hands and drag you away from your desk.

"I found this cute restaurant downtown," Will is babbling, pulling up the pictures from Google Maps and showing you the menu and reviews. "Then there's a snow cone place like, a block away—"

You nod along, taking note of the addresses, because your boyfriends are too directionally challenged off the ice to get anywhere on their own.

"—and then we can come home and watch a movie from Our List—"

Mack squeezes your hand at that. You've got a bad habit of sitting down to watch movies only to get distracted half an hour into them. He's usually the instigator.

"Okay, but I really need to get just two hundred more words—" you try to warn them, only to get squished between them as they both try to kiss you at the same time.

"No more work tonight," Mack demands. "Just us."

"I think we just need to be more distracting," Will suggests solemnly.

"You two are the worst," you tell them, which basically is the same thing as I love you.

Mack bullies you into one of his hoodies, and Will tosses you his car keys so you can drive to dinner, both of which basically mean I love you too.
