Nostalgia
Create moments that bring that nostalgia feeling back to you. As I get older, that’s the feeling I long for. Things that make me feel young and alive. Sitting in the back seat of a car with two guys I can be myself around, buzzing and bumping to oldies hip hop brings me back to my college days. Those days right after high school ended and life began and all that it consisted of was working, studying, and partying. I think about those nights often as I feel I have outgrown them.
Maybe not. Maybe those nights just changed.
Sitting in the back seat of a car with my longtime boyfriend driving and his best friend that might as well live with us. I am buzzing while they sing along to oldies hip hop and I can’t help looking out the window at the busy night. These days consist of working, reading for pleasure, and a glass of wine at the end of the week. I am young and I am alive.
