2 guys behind us at the grocery store snickering cause I took down 2 water jugs "Yeah right she's not gonna' carry them." Me, who was going to do two trips but now has to kill a bear: *picked them both up & walked out.* My boyfriend: "Wait for me!"

Nobody knows he's had surgery anymore he just looks like arm candy. Shut them tf up tho. 🤣 (Context he is a full 6 inches taller than me he looked like Gandalf running after a hobbit ok.)

I haven't introduced all my babies here I don't think. So here are the bun bois, Gandalf The Grey & Samwise Gamgee. They're 6 & 5 year old Rexes, a father & son pair. We got them from a neighbor who found out he's got allergies.

They're kennelled at night or when I'm not home or when ppl are dropping by (like for kid pick up etc). Otherwise they're downstairs in one of the two finished rooms hanging out with us. Sometimes I let them free roam upstairs because we have baby gates still installed but I worry about them on the tile so it's rare.

Got a haircut this weekend. Cut off most of the old color & I'm going to dye it something new after work this week. Pic from Monday morning. I was so thrilled to get called in Sunday night on the way home from the city 🤣 (I work relief/casual so my hours are willy nilly...I just had a couple weeks off 😆)

I'm going to be combining my tarot page with my art page here because I have to streamline my life.

Although I love having my art & cards separate just for aesthetic and focus sake, I don't have the spoons to be maintaining several spaces so I'm just going to have one blog across several platforms & it'll just be my little chaos corner.

Hopefully this doesn't bite me in the ass. 🤣 The focus is gonna' be a mix of card content & art/home reno content going forward.

My partner had an unexpected appendicitis flare this week, so he's recovering from having his appendix removed.

I'm around, just that's taking my focus. Everything is going as well as can be expected. Thanks for checking in, appreciate it! Have a picture of the little creek that runs through the middle of town.

Started doing half screen Sundays instead of no screen Sundays because extra grumpy teenagers aren't something I need more of. I'm working on an art trade! Any guesses what they'll be? I'll post a clue tomorrow.

Batch cooked chicken today (salt & pepper legs & Cajun BBQ thighs). While that's cooling off for the freezer, going to wash some new jars so I can store up veggies tomorrow.

Not canning anything yet (will be soon!), but if you store fresh cut veg in water in an airtight container they last longer. We do carrots, celery, & peppers this way.
