We were doing a vascular procedure to restore blood flow to a man's leg who waited 2 weeks to come into the hospital for the leg pain. We were able to increase the flow, but unfortunately he developed compartment syndrome during the procedure so the vascular surgeon who was doing the procedure decided she wanted to do a fasciotomy. The OR was giving her push back so she said "I'm going to do it bedside in the Cath lab" and suddenly they found a clean OR for her. But she was 100% serious about cutting open this man's leg in our lab without full anesthesia. I'm so glad it didn't happen
