We were doing a vascular procedure to restore blood flow to a man's leg who waited 2 weeks to come into the hospital for the leg pain. We were able to increase the flow, but unfortunately he developed compartment syndrome during the procedure so the vascular surgeon who was doing the procedure decided she wanted to do a fasciotomy. The OR was giving her push back so she said "I'm going to do it bedside in the Cath lab" and suddenly they found a clean OR for her. But she was 100% serious about cutting open this man's leg in our lab without full anesthesia. I'm so glad it didn't happen

Today I was trying to say one of the doctors was circling like a shark but instead I said shirckling so now that's a word my coworker and I are using to describe when they're trying to hurry us along

I traded shifts so I could pick up my package this morning. There was no one in the lobby so I walked up to the open window and the lady flipped out saying that she didn't call me forward and I can come back when I'm ready to follow the rules.

I'm gonna fucking lose my goddamn mind.

The way being on call was explained to me in my interview vs how it is in real life is so wildly different. If I had known call is how it is I would never have taken my job. I would have stayed making way less money just to not deal with this bullshit.

The fact that when I get called in it doesn't matter how many hours I'm here I'm not still not allowed a lunch. So like....I'll be here for 15+ hours and I'm not allowed to eat

I got an email that my package was ready at the post office today so I went over there and there was nothing to my PO box. So I went up to the desk to ask if maybe they just hadn't put the slip in my mailbox yet. The lady at the desk said I'll go check then literally walk 2 ft away, pulled her personal cell phone out and was just scrolling on her phone for 2 minutes, then came over and said I didn't see anything. Like if you're going to lie to my face, at least go around the corner and pretend like you're looking and not be within my eyesight so that I know that you didn't fucking look.

I'm kind of irritated because the shifts I work I'm not going to be able to go back during pick up hours there until at least Thursday.

I was dropping something off at the county today and I was telling my coworker about something crazy my mom said. But there was a deputy there working on a report who I know is a big tr+mper and he came over HEATED saying what I told them was wrong and why. I was like ..... No like you just proved my point. The bitch is nuts and even you think so.

I was so uncomfortable. It was hella awkward.
