Because everyone has different things they’re worried about in life. I have a flawless life outside of these doors, never have anything to complain about. That’s what makes these patients my priority. That’s what makes him, [He points outside his window, in the general direction of the patient he was eyeing earlier.] worth it. Jayd- [He holds his tongue, pausing a moment to hold back the name, and cut the building momentum of his speech by sitting down to continue his sentence.] ..This patient is who’s worth my time. His background, and his potential, his willingness to open up to me, that’s what makes him my priority.
You might not have an ‘edgy’ little background, or a tragic story behind you, and I get that. Each patient is different, regardless, I want the best for each and every patient here, including you. You’re not worried about anything here but yourself, and that’s fine- I couldn’t care less. What I care about is getting you and every other patient here the proper treatment they need.
After listening to him, Veronica does nothing but raise an eye brow, "what crack are you smoking?"

-she smirks at the slip of the boys name; knowing exactly whom he was speaking of- Oh. Jayden, huh?
Well, don't waste your time worrying about me, -she rises to her feet, smoothing her shirt over the lump in her pocket where the cigarettes lay- I will be back for more though, I like non menthol. -she turned to walk towards the door-
I know what I’m saying sounds absurd. I get that, I understand- But if you could just see things from my perspective. In my interpretation, you look at patients and you just see the potential in them. This patient he just- He’s got a lot of potential in my eyes. I’m dedicated to his case, and helping him through it all. A patient is so much more than what their disorders are. You just realize that they’re more than just mentally ill, each patient is their own person, their own individual story. It’s my job to get them back to their story- This patient, this boy, he’s no exception.
How philosophical of you.
Some of us never had a story or any of that bullshit.
I doubt this patient would be ready for such commitment- He isn’t wanting just some ordinary relationship, there’s just- So much more to him than you may expect.
......you do realize where you are, right?
Boyfriend-? I think…. You and I may have different patients we’re talking about. This patient doesn’t have a boyfriend- Or girlfriend for that matter. Not that it matters-
They all have boyfriends.
The doctor's here must be blind.
Don’t- [He sighs in frustration, collecting his tone moments after.] Don’t say it like that- I’m not stalking him I’m just… I’m worried for his well being.
Aww, how cute. -giggles- I wonder how his boyfriend will feel about that.
[Idly, he tapped his fingers against his desk, eyes never leaving it.] I never said this patient was a female.
Are you saying she's not?
Are you stalking a guy?
A…. Patient.
-spins in the chair- What's her name?
Because my office is for me to get away from rotten delinquents such as yourself.
Now that we’ve established that, is there anything else we need to clarify on?
Who were you watching?
You’re a twisted little girl, I hope you know that.
Now for the third, and final, time, please remind me why you’re here again?
-sits in a chair, spinning it slightly- Why shouldn't I be here? Your door was open.
Oh you little… [He trails off, sucking in his lower lip before fumbling in his pocket, fishing out a half empty pack of cigarettes, and throws it in her direction.] That’s all I have! That’s it! Take it or leave it, before I send a guard for you.
-instantly she stops screaming, but smiles, taking the cigarettes and tucked them in her back pocket, only after checking the inside for a lighter.- And what was that you were saying?
[His eyes widen in understanding, and he waves a hand in protest.] Wh- No, no, no! Let’s not play this little pretend games shall we? [He eyes the camera up on his ceiling, silently praying for it to be on.]
-Her eyes dart over towards the same direction of his, but then scooted closer, hiding in the corner under it's view- Help! Please! Stop! No!
Absolutely not- I am your superior, patient. You will not be bossing me around.
Whether your fourteen or forty, you’re not going to be getting any cigarettes from me. Even if I was watching a patient, what are the odds that Colton would believe you over me?
-smirks for a second before shutting the door and scooting her back against the wall, locking it with one hand- No! Don't touch me! Please stop!
Even if I did smoke- Why would I give you cigarettes? You’re like… Twelve, aren’t you?
Don't act like you can't smell the smoke on your clothes.
And I'm fourteen. So cough them over.
Oh, no no no… That’s absolutely not necessary in the slightest- [His shoulders tense, and brows furrow forward, a symbol of his anxiousness.] What do you want then, what do you want to know?
Oh! -smirks- What a change...
Cigarettes. I want them.
