Ugh I don’t blame you. I could never do that. I have a hard enough time with college kids and they’ve already gone through puberty.
It’s usually not so bad, but dealing wth post-birthday stuff this year is a little harder than usual.

Yeah at the beginning of this month I think Vi was happy not to have her regular babysitters (or me or her dad) and just get spoiled by her grandmas but I think it was too much. She’s looking forward to starting school I think. Or at least to show off her new backpack.
Kels is sort of indifferent. Like, she loves school but she definitely loves not being at school too. Me, I just don’t want to deal with people, but particularly pre-teens, on a daily basis quite yet.

She actually is. Probably bc I’ve been back at work for like a month almost and she’s been hanging with her grandmas. Which she usually likes, but my mom came to visit for the past two weeks and I think Vi ate TOO much junk food, if that’s even possible. She’s ready to go back.
Fair enough. Kels has been hanging with the neighbors while I’ve been doing all the set up for first day of school and stuff like that, but I don’t think either one of us are honestly ready for this year to start quite yet. After yesterday, I hope Tuesday doesn’t come too fast.

not too bad. working a lot. beginning of the semester. plus i have to keep my child in the clearly expensive lifestyle that she’s used to, obviously. mermaid fins aren’t free, and the kid grows like a weed. i hope you’ve had more ups than downs, though!
