decided to have more of my body out than usual to represent how proud and unashamed i am to have lived 30 plus years in this black ass body, as a black mother, every mark, scar, and the very shape of me is a tribute to all the women who came before me and had to hide, to cover up, and to wear uncomfortable things to appear more flattering. fuck dat noise.

wanted to incorporate the colors of the juneteenth flag, while incorporating different browns, to represent the difference shades of blackness. had fun crocheting this set!
