ODIN’S AFTERBIRTH. FUCKING METAL!
Earlier this month, Politico Magazine listed me among the top 50 “thinkers, doers and visionaries transforming American politics” for my work in coalitions advancing net neutrality—the principle that cable and phone companies should not block websites or create online slow lanes and paid fast lanes. Over the course of a...
I got a mention in this article because my team made a video about net neutrality on Vimeo. Another woman who isn’t mentioned in the article is Laura Turner Garrison who wrote and produced the video!

Welcome to the long list of people ripped off by Apple. Big and small.
Oh and yours are better.

When we talk to filmmakers, we like to say that Vimeo “gives your work the power to amaze.” We’ve since extended that metaphor to developers: give your app the power to amaze. Today we’re announcing the release of four open-source iOS projects that help developers integrate core Vimeo services and...

Vimeo has a wonderful collection of open-source multimedia tools, all of which are able to talk to one another, whether they’re processing video or audio or images. None of this would be possible, though, without the awesome people behind this incredible open-source movement.
Earlier this year, I was invited by the EBU to speak at Fosdem 2015, a two-day event in Brussels designed to promote the use of and discuss about open-source software around the world. I spoke in the Open Media devroom about how Vimeo runs its transcoding tools internally, and how important it is for us to foster a positive relationship with creators of free and open-source software.
In the following presentation, I explore how Vimeo leverages open-source and how healthy it is to give back to the community whenever possible — one that we’re a part of, too! As I point out during my presentation, many Vimeo developers contribute to open-source projects, and are involved in application and API design, maintainability, and discussions on infrastructure.

Can Vimeo build a big business without selling out? - Small Empires Ep. 10
Every month the Vimeo devs stay late and work on whatever they want — but it has to be cool! Here’s a quick look at this month’s code jam. I think it’s time for a new phone as I’m noticing some strange gaussian blur that normally wouldn’t be there. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
