Sexiest Podcast Character 2026 — Round 2
Who is sexier?
Verge

Verge (Midnight Burger):
COME ON IT'S VERGE
Renée Minkowski (Wolf 359):
She's a 40-something space captain who was desperate to be part of something and to matter, so she went to space. She puts on a serious, no-nonsense persona to feel capable, but she's actually a huge dork who loves poetry, musicals, and ice cream. She's a first-generation Polish immigrant, and her arc is very much tied up in that and in how she feels like she has to be the best at everything in order to have any worth. She's a failgirl who got rejected from the NASA space program five times. She spent two weeks hunting a plant monster in the vents of her ship. She Russian-Rouletted a guy into turning off the bomb he was trying to blow up the ship with. She killed the main villain of the series with the same harpoon she used to kill the plant monster. She loves her crew and would protect them with her life. She learns to embrace her own identity outside of externally-given roles. She's frighteningly competitive in board games. What's not to love?
There's nothing hotter than a beat up woman who shoots a harpoon. And Minkowski is that woman.

This was a great roadside display of Hesperantha coccinea 'Major'. This vigorous cultivar has larger crimson-scarlet flowers.

Second Verge next episode? Alternate Universe Verge next episode? New Vapian character? Please please please?
I don't think people talk about the appeal to the universe Verge made in "Big Day". They were staring cataclysm in the face, renounced the gods of their people as dead and begged for help anyways, from wherever it has to come from. Verge has lived in a state of perpetual spite for most of their life, spite for people, nature, culture, all things that seemed to oppose their well-being. But they went to earth, and found people, and culture, and nature that did not stand against them, but with them. And they were on the same brink that had forced them in that life of perpetual spite. It makes me wonder sometimes, did the people on vapus before the cataclysm know what was happening early enough to pray? To ask anyone for help? Did it happen too quickly for them to even think to do so? The vapians that we've heard of had seemed to cast off their superstitious past, but how many do you think would have stopped and tried to find deliverance or comfort in those last moments before their world was subsumed? Regardless of the outcome, I think its interesting that verge had the chance to ask for help, in spite of all logic or predetermined understanding, because all else had failed. How many vapian prayers unspoken were answered in that moment in the glade of wishes? Vapus vella.
