writing Hero Complex now on ao3. It started out as a The Boys Rewrite, but here we are. Figure it'll be easier to make a comic out of once i actually write it down.

HERO COMPLEX

Superheroes were never meant to exist. Strav Intl. made them anyway. It started with a cure—for disease, for weakness, for death itself. A military dream of stronger soldiers, bodies that could endure the impossible. But somewhere along the way, the science twisted. Men, women, children all became experiments. The conclusions drawn were something else.

Now, supes are America’s most valuable spectacle—living weapons wrapped in bright costumes, patrolling the streets, saving lives on cue. They sell a fantasy of heroism, a world where power is righteous, where Strav’s creations are nothing less than divine. And with every new supe, Strav’s empire only grows.

Ray Reaver, a disillusioned army veteran, knows the truth. He and his crew have one goal: burn it all down. Expose Strav, dismantle its empire, and erase every supe from existence. But power like this doesn’t die easily. And the deeper they dig, the more they risk becoming the very thing they swore to destroy.

I was too high to make the lines pretty n neat when i drew this 😭 have my vers of #butchlander !!

ocs paragon x reaver because i said so 🙂‍↕️ hehe. Paragon (HL) still #1 hero here (killed kessler character here). Reaver (Billy) is a journalist tryna take down Stav (Vought) from the inside.

Will I ever actually make this a comic?? I hope so 😭 I have so many thoughts.
