anyone else think Dick ought to have had psychological evaluation before lock up? his attack was unprompted and given his history, I feel like in the real system he’d have been assessed and likely placed instead in a high max psychiatric facility 

or am I just grievously overestimating the efficiency and moral code of the american system

100% in the real world he would have been sent to a psych facility. Especially if he had undergone an eval. But that is assuming he would have opted to plead insanity, which would have gotten him a lower sentence, which he didnt want. So like in conclusion, i have no idea what i am talking about.
