Treasure Hunters!
Popuri tugged on Kai’s arm as she led him across the beach. "We are going to find that treasure! If anyone knows the Mineral Town beach it’s us!" Popuri exclaimed. She had no doubt in her mind that she and Kai would find anything less then the grand prize. Treasure was always on beaches! Once they were standing at the pier Popuri pulled out the piece of paper that had their clue on it. "It says ‘Stand at the edge of the pier, then part of your body, take 80 paces near.’” Popuri read out loud. “What does that mean?" she asked Kai. She understood the 80 paces, that was 80 steps, but what did the part of your body part mean?
Kai peered over Popuri's shoulder and reread the clue, I have no clue what this means, he thought to himself, his face in a grimace. But I bet Popuri is counting on me. Time to fake it until I make it.
"Uh, yeah, a body part?" He quickly scanned up and down his body. "Pier, near..." His eyes grew wide, "ear?" He looked at Popuri's ears, "Yeah! An ear! What is 80 paces from our ears?" It was Kai's turn to nudge Popuri along, "Help me count!" He said, excitedly and rapidly counting out their steps.
