The virus is bored.

Rosalia grunts in frustration while looking around.

“Mun isn’t feeling to well… I guess I could be her helpful little pathogen”

She giggles putting a claw on her chin and grins. 

“I wonder if anyone’s around to play with…”

Shade looks over from behind a tree at the large creature just sitting alone acting like it was searching for something. He tilts his head wondering what could it be and if he should approach it in the first place.

"What a strange creature to find..."

Ignoring all instincts to stay away from the beast, he hops out from behind the tree and walks his way to it. He places his hands behind his back and fluidly side steps in front of it looking up into it's eyes. He brings up one of his hands to wave hello.

"Hello there strange creature~"

Chase points.

“If you can’t limit your madness, go be sane somewhere else!”

He grabs a book from his pocket and tosses it over. Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland & Through the Looking Glass.

“Read that to learn the limit to my madness. Try to be around the level of the Dodo, perhaps the Duchess, but stop before the Hatter and the Hare.

And me, of course~”

Shade giggles and tilts his head mumbling.

"I am not exactly sure if you understood...Oh well~"

He catches the book and moves the glasses on his mask down away from his eyes before taking out a a pair of reading glasses from his suit coat. He puts them in front of his eyes before looking at the cover of the book.

"Hm lets see here.... Alice in Wonderland... interesting.."

He opens it and starts speed reading the book about the parts of the Dodo, Cheshire, Duchess, and stopping a little after the tea party.

"Huh... well now. Very interesting, but I think I can dim down the madness."

Chase pouts.

“Stop making sense! Be more mad~

But not too mad! Only I’m allowed to be too mad~~”

Shade ponders at what Chase is yelling at him.

"Too...mad? Please, I do not know the limit of madness that you hold. I would not know where to stop"

He giggled and walks over to sit down on a nearby stump. He tilts his head to the side where the hat almost slides off before his hand is brought up to stop it.

"Do show me, your limit of madness~"

Chase grabs his pill bottle and pops three pills.

“I would like to mess with someone~

But there’s no one here!”

Shade blinks and stretches his arms out.

"Well it doesn't help that we're nowhere near buildings or streets. You might have better luck then here."

[chase-nyan]

Chase crosses his arms and pouts.

“Don’t fucking tell me what to do. I am not your play whore~”

He’s offended.

Shades eye twitched and he drops down from the tree onto the ground letting the flames die out.

"Sooomeone's taking this a little too personally~"

He takes off his hat and brushes off any parts of the tree that may have been on it since he jumped into the first one.

"Then what would you like to do, hm?"

Chase grins and shakes his head.

“No~

I’m not a little kid~!”

He shoves his hands into his pockets, then shrugs.

“Besides. Disappearing is my thing~”

Shade points a finger out from the tree across from him and shouts.

"Hey! That trait can be shared with many people, don't hoard it too yourself!"

He retracts the hand and from another tree his head pops out and looks down at Chase.

"Come on, I'm bored. Don't be a sour sport. Well, I don't think a kid would be dumb enough to play around in fire."

“None of the city is exciting anymore~

Even my home sector 3 is boring and empty~! I didn’t have to stab a single person on the way here, which is surprising~!”

Shade giggles and waves his hands around together.

"Wellllll the only thing now is to make things rather interesting~!"

He separates his hands on each side and a purple flame dances from his fingertips and curl up into a small ball of fire just above his palm. He turns his palms over and lets the purple fire ball's drop and ignite all of the trees in the park, including the one their standing on.

"Don't worry~ They're just an illusion, but now we can play fire and go seek~!"

He laughs and jumps over to Chase and lightly pokes his shoulder.

"Yooooouuu'rrreeee it~!"

Shade giggles and jumps back into the leaves of the tree that have now been fully engulfed by the purple flames.

"Try and find meee~"

His voice echos through the park and between the trees.

“Wonderland I say. Aren’t you listening~?”

Chase grins widely, then repositions himself on his branch.

“I’ll call you Shade, by the by.”

Shade nods deep in thought. Yes. He was listening very carefully.

"I understand you, it just... interests me...loosely speaking."

He claps his hands together.

"Good! All the proper introductions have been placed. What do you say we head out of this dismal park and head somewhere with more excitement~?"

“I don’t know what they call me — probably some pretty rude names considering how much I like to mess with them — but I call me Chase Neko~

The Cheshire Cat of Wonderland~~”

Shade looks at him and blinks.

"Well then Mr. Neko, I'll just call you Chase though, it's a pleasure to meet sir. My name is Shade Moris. I am sad to inform you that I do not have any fun nick names."

His eyes widen hearing the world 'wonderland'.

"Wonderland you say~?"

Chase glares at the man.

“You’re not a magician. You’re a psycho person~”

He jumps up to a tree branch himself and flips around before perching himself atop it.

“A weird one indeed~! And very, very mad~~”

Shade giggles and fans himself with his hand.

"Oh you flatter me sir, teehee~"

He laughs some more to himself and crosses his leg across the other assuming a more relaxed pose.

"Psycho.... magician.... either or works in the long run. So what do they call you around here kitty-man~?"

Chase glares.

“That’s my thing! No disappearing allowed!”

He looks around at the trees. Why can’t he disappear like that? Certainly the scientists stole his powers.

Why didn’t they steal the other’s as well?

“And how the fuck did you do that~?”

Shade giggles and stands up on the branch.

"Well sadly that's all I can do with my hat... there was so many things I could do with it too."

He grunts in frustration and takes off his hat, turns it over and reaches inside mummbling to himself.

"So many things, so many things gone... but how you ask."

He leans over and tosses up his hat and puts it on his head.

"Well the first trick is DATA EXPUNGED"

He opens his jaw at the last part of the sentence before laughing out loud at his own little joke. After calming down to his own humor, he leans against the trunk of the tree and his jaw is put back in it's place. Shade folds his arms across his chest and puts one finger up to the mouth of his mask.

"Ahhh... but sadly in truth. A magician never tells his secrets~"

Chase glares at the man.

“Fuck you, Toad.”

He spreads his legs out slightly, getting into a ready stance.

“If you’re able to make citizens go ‘bye~bye’, who’s to say you aren’t the cause? What were you doing these past few months~?”

Shade laughs and waves his hand.

"Oh no no. I haven't been out for half the time I was here. Random comas I'd say. Although to answer you're question I have been here-"

He jumps up holding tightly onto his hat before being sucked up into his hat. Letting the hat implode on itself and disappearing. His hat reappears over behind him on the branch of a nearby tree, with Shade popping out and sitting gently on the branch.

"-and there~! Besides meeting a little circus man and some strange 'bro', I haven't been meeting any others that went away"

He wipes a fake tear from the bottom of his left eye socket.

"Boo-hoo, so sorry for them..."

He chuckles again adjusting his hat.

Chase glares at the man. At least, he thinks it’s a man. It could easily be a puppet.

“You look evil, and I’m not taking my chances, what with everyone disappearing like they are.

The vorpal blade is for my benefit.”

He swings it one, two! one, two! and through and through!

Shade blinks and tilts his head upright before pushing his glasses toward his mask.

"Hmm, you're not the first creature to accuse me of such an act."

He chuckles slightly before taking off his hat, staring straight into the mans eyes.

"Although... might I add... I am quite capable in making some of these citizens go.... bye-bye~"

He throws up his hat and leans forward so the hat lands perfectly on his head.

"Yet, you are looking at the wrong culprit good sir~ Your villain is in another castle"

Chase was happily trekking down the trail in the center of the park when he happened upon a strange person. He narrows his eyes and pulls out his pocket knife, readying himself for battle in case this person is the reason so many are disappearing.

He definitely seems to look the part, what with the mask and the sinister appearance. Not to mention his 50’s cartoon villain attire.

“He took his vorpal blade in hand… long time the manxome foe he sought.”

Shade blinks at the character walking towards him. He stares at him for a while letting the silence pass between them. After a while, he opens his jaw and yells out to the strange man.

"Hey! You, over there! Going to do anything else but stand there mumbling to yourself?"

He gets up and takes off his hat and puts his notebook into it. He places it back onto his head and cautiously walks over towards the man. Well now.... this is rather new..ehehe...I don't think I've seen a cat around here before.. He thinks to himself before stopping a few good feet away from him seeing he has a weapon drawn, ready to grab his hat when necessary.

"Any reason for the protection..?"

He tilts his head to the side enough so the hat stays on his head.

Shade looks up from where he was walking and find himself in a completely different part of town then he would never travel too. He thinks for a moment before realizing he drifted off into a daze and wondered off from Klaus and his original destination. He sighs in frustration and looks around him to figure out where he is, even if he has no idea about the mapping of the city. He depicts that he has wondered far into a large recreational park area with no streets nearby him, suggesting he's towards the middle of the park.

"Well this could be worse, I could be outside the city grounds.... somehow..."

He thinks out loud to himself before removing his hat and looking into the dark void inside it. I could just teleport myself tosomeone... Shade thinking to himself, but then again I would have no idea where I would be going.

He reaches down inside until his shoulder hits the rim of his hat and searches around inside for a minute or two before pulling out a small book and a pen attached to the side of the spine. He sits down from where he's standing and opens the book to his notes, he begins writing down various scribbles before a figure catches his attention from the corner of his eye. He looks up to see who it might be.
