Monday is upon and another week is starting. This post is a more about life being short and reach out to those that matter and speak with your family and get out to see them if you can. My Uncle Jeff died yesterday and I was trying to remember if I had met him in person. I have talked to him over the years, but I don't think our visits and his schedule ever lined up. It sucks because he was a good man and funny as hell. It really sucks getting old, because you aren't the only one getting old. Mom is heading up to Michigan tomorrow with Aunt Karen, we are debating on heading up there to help for a few days as well. Well the day finally came that I earned the right to wear Master Sergeant (E-7) and my beautiful wife @mackenziesellars was there to do the honors of putting the stripes onto my chest. It has been a long road to get here and I have changed so much to be able to wear this stripe proudly. Thank you baby for being there for this long rocky journey and being my hype man. I love you. It's Friday everyone, the end of another week. The end of another 2 week stretch because of drill. The culmination of another step in my military career with my promotion into the Top 3, the Senior Non-Commissioned Officer Corps. This has been a long time coming and the resounding response I have received has been "finally" or "about time", which to all of those i can understand where they are coming from. I have been performing at the upper tier for a long time, just had to wait for the blocks to align. If you wait things out and prepare yourself for the next level, it will present itself.
