Holy crap, I thought these were watercolour at first but they’re actually made entirely of pressed plants!

I think it’s important to remind yourself why some people are no longer in your life anymore, It’s natural to miss people, but it’s important to recognize your growth from no longer having toxic people in your life

I doodled this out a while ago but it’s always at least a little relevant to life.
blue whales are the largest animal ever recorded, like you literally need to be in a helicopter to actually see one in from a perspective with zero distortion. idk i just feel pretty lucky to be alive on earth at the same time as them and they don’t even want to kill me. they just wanna use their toothbrush mouthes to filter the ocean of smol ocean bugs. they have communities and they sing to each other to communicate. work is slow im sorry happy friday whales r so cool
Today I’m scheduled to work outside all day. It’d... also very cold and very raining. This will be the first time I’ve worn a raincoat in three years and it feels so strange.
I used to work outdoors in coastal Washington! Everything was just ambient rain, all the time, and you hardly even noticed it. But the rain in the Midwest is different because there is a noticeable difference between “being wet” and “being not wet”. They are not the same and you cannot help but notice the transition between the two. Midwestern rain is much wetter than coastal rain, I think.
I've never felt rain in any place but the midwest, but I can agree that there is a significant difference between being wet and Not being wet when it comes to our rain. If you're caught in a Missouri rainstorm, your soaked, even if you just got a few drops, and the water lingers long after it feels like it should have.
In Washington you can walk down the street in the rain and not even bother to put your hood up. An umbrella would be ridiculous and useless. You may be in a literal rainforest for hours and become saturated with water but you’re not really wet from it.
Midwestern rain... occasionally God comes out of the sky to kick your ass for no reason and that’s just how it is. Sometimes a tornado or five is thrown in. Whatever.
