Kimiko gave the girl a very confused look, her hands moving to her hips, an eyebrow raised. Finally a sigh escaped and she signed out [ Shicchan? May I ask who this Shicchan person is? Or would that be crossing a boundary? ]. Kimiko then went wide eyed and glared at the girl, her hands slashing out [ Hey! What do you mean “just you”? ] She glared at Misha for a little bit longer before finally sitting down in a chair near her. [ I suppose I can allow that one to be forgotten. However, you really should not let yourself oversleep. You should follow a strict sleep schedule so you can maintain yourself at as high of a performance rate as possible. ] She nodded, a slight smile on her face, assuring herself of this slight victory. What the victory was over, she had no idea, but she was sure she won. 

Misha had gotten up in the brief moment Kimiko had slipped in to thought and had asked a question. Kimiko stood as well, flattening her skirt and adjusting her hair before following after the female. She waited until Misha was once again looking at her to sign back [ Probably some fruit of some sort followed by bread and milk. ]

Misha stared at Kimiko with awe. "Wow. I might as well call you Shicchan 'cause you're acting so much like her~." She let out a resound sigh and started signing again. [ Shicchan's... well... She's my best friend~. And she's a bit of a big deal in school, with her being the Student Council President and everything~. But she's been busy these past couple of days, and... Well~... Even though we work together, I barely ever get to talk with her personally~. She's all work and no play, and I miss her~. ] Misha frowned loudly. [ Sorry, I must be dumping a lot of unnecessary things on you, aren't I~? ] She waved her hand in front of her face. [ Let's just forget that all of that happened, shall we~? ]

She stopped to wonder about how Kimiko's breakfast would taste. "Hmm... That actually doesn't sound pretty bad," she thought out loud. [ I'll have the same~! ] Misha confirmed with a broad smile.

Kimiko looked around, hopping to spot the bright pink haired student she had agreed to meet here. She saw a slight movement out of the corner of her eye, a flash of pink, and snapped her attention to that area. She saw Misha, slumped over, her face on the table. A silent giggle escaped and she crept over to the female. Kimiko slipped her hands over the female’s eyes in the typical “guess who” manner, hopping that the girl would realize it was her.

Clearly disturbed from her nap, Misha lightly swatted the hands around her face. "J-just five more minutes, Shicchan~..." she yawned, her upper body already upright. She drowsed back into a dreamless before quickly realizing that the hands covering her eyes weren't Shizune's at all. She yelped, immediately turning around to look at her assailant.

"Oh, it's just you, Kimiko~." Misha sighed with relief and patted at her heart to calm it down. "You almost gave me a heart attack~!" She sighed. "I guess I deserve it for oversleeping again." But as soon as she groaned at her mistakes, she already got over it, clapping her hands together and smiling broadly. "So~, what're you gonna get for breakfast~?" she asked while standing up, making her way to the non-existent line for the cafeteria.

After Class

Hisao glared slightly at Misha but really found he couldn’t keep up the mean look and just sat back and sighed. “Sounds like you’re avoiding the subject now.” He shrugged and pulled out his own wallet to pay for his portion as well. “Whatever, if you don’t want to tell me that’s fine. Mine kind of just snaked out anyways…”

"Here you go, Yuuko~!" Misha placed the exact change on the payment platter, grabbed Hisao's own cash and put it there as well, and slid it, almost aggressively, across the table. Luckily, Yuuko was already there to clumsily catch the payment. "Don't worry, Hicchan~. You'll get to know about it when the time is right~! But for now, I really really really need to keep it a secret, and if I tell you I'd have to kill you~." Her eyebrows met and she scowled, but she put on her signature smile just as quickly as she grabbed Hisao's right sleeve and tugged him out of the Shanghai.

Kimiko smiled as Misha seemed to get a little flustered. Was that maybe a slight blush? Oh my.. Does she perhaps?.. No. That is foolish thinking. Get yourself together right now. She righted her thoughts almost instantaneously and nodded as Misha signed. [ The cafeteria it is. ]

Kimiko seemed to fumble over what to sign next, her hands wringing at each other in awkward ways. [ I will force myself to call you Misha, it is quite alright. I am just not used to such.. Casualness between two people. I will get used to it though, as that is the proper thing to do. ] She smiled at Misha, bowing slightly only to be smacked on the back. Kimiko stumbled forward a bit, caught quite off guard as Misha ran to the cafeteria, a brief wave signaled to her. She waved back, a little confused, and began heading back to her dorm quickly, wanting to catch up with Misha as quickly as she could.

Kimiko was quick in her room, rebrushing her hair, applying light amounts of make up, some perfume, and a few adjustments to he uniform before bolting out the door heading to the cafeteria. She was in very good shape, her looks and body something she adored. She could not speak, so she went to extensive measures to be as gorgeous as she could to try and make up for it. She quickly found herself in the cafeteria, not realizing she had been traveling that fast, and found herself stopped in her tracks to try and find Misha. Well, now it was a game of hide and seek. Hopefully they could find each other shortly, Kimiko enjoyed the female’s presence.

Misha sat in a table alone. Thankfully it was still too early to have a crowd of students swarming the cafeteria, so she had a table all to herself. She was pretty sure that her bright pink hair would be a good enough signal to Kimiko that she was waiting right in that very spot, so she waited. And waited. And waited. She got so bored out of a few minutes' worth of waiting that Misha slumped right on the table cheek-first and, very slowly, returned to snoozing.

Now, where were we? || Kensei and Misha

Kensei shrunk back in his chair at Misha’s outrage. He must’ve touched a raw nerve, but Kensei didn’t think he was THAT on the mark! He was about to sputter out a stream of apologetic protestations when Misha’s anger abruptly disappated.

“Oh man, you actually got me there!” Kensei laughed in relief. “Sheesh, I may have just lost a few weeks off my life there.” He sighed and relaxed.

Again, he watched Misha weigh her options. Seems like she couldn’t help but externalize her thought processes one way or another. When she had ultimately settled on Ramen, Kensei was nodding with enthusiastic agreement. “Sounds perfect!”

Once the pink storm had passed and they were safely on their way, Kensei found himself dwelling on something Misha had said. “You know…” he began hesitantly, considering her previous reaction, even if it was fake. “Before I wound up here, I used to be an athlete.” Wait, used to? He stilll was, being on the wheelchair track team. Whatever, Kensei didn’t bother to correct himself. “If you’re really concerned about keeping fit, I can coach you!”

"Pro tip: you really shouldn't talk about a girl's weight. It's not polite~. You're lucky I let you off, big time; you don't even know~." Her tone was as serious as it could get, quite a hard feat to pull off if your voice had a singsong tune. "So that settles it with the venue~," she agreed. "I'm looking forward to Sunday, already~!"

"What~?" Misha asked, though she fully understood what Kensei was trying to say. "I mean, why~? You don't really have to... It might end up being another cog in Misha's busy schedule filled with Student Council stuff~. And besides, you really really don't have to~!"

Hymndi relaxed in the booth a bit, enjoying himself, a smirk touching his face as his joke finally hit Misha. He was about to say something when Misha spoke again, the words Open about your legsringing in his head. He tried to contain himself for as long as he could until he finally bursted out laughing. “I-I bet you would like that, w-wouldn’t you?” He stammered out as he was laughing. Taking a few breaths to calm himself, he looked at the girl again. “You know, usually I’m not. I would never make jokes this this around other people. I’m pretty…” He paused for a moment, trying to pick the right word. A sigh escaped as his mind drew a blank and he shrugged “I’m just pretty sensitive about the matter most times.” 

Misha waved the waitress over, and sure enough his suspicions of it being Yuuko from the previous journey in here were confirmed. Usual? Oh, that’s right, Misha did say she was here a few days ago and made mention to something earlier.. As he got caught up in thought the burden of ordering first was suddenly shoved on to him. He choked up for a bit and looked down at the table, trying to remember what he wanted. “Right, uh.. A sweet tea and a couple sandwiches please. That should do just fine.” He smiled at Yuuko, leaning on to the table a little bit. “Oh, and before the question arises, I’ll be paying for us both.” He nodded, a more subtle smile on his face, more or less doing these actions for himself.

Misha wore a look of disbelief, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment and regret at her poor choice of words. "I would not~!" she pouted. "You don't know me well enough for you to make guesses~." Bashfully looking at her feet, she sighed. "Could we just forget I said that~? Pretty please with a cherry on top~?" And she added with a whisper. "Not in front of Yuuko, too. She doesn't need the gossip~." It didn't seem like the waitress noticed what the pinkette said, but if one looked a bit closer, you could see her shoot a worried look at Misha.

While Hymndi busied himself with his order, Misha glimpsed something that she'd like on the menu. "Hey Yuuko, I'll be having a-. Wait, no~, I already had that one last week... How about a st-. Nah~, I always eat that one anyway..." She snapped her fingers upon finally deciding. "Ah~! I'll have the pumpkin pie. I've never had pumpkin pie before~. With a helping of whipped cream on top~? And some soda, please." She placed the menu face-down on the table and looked pleased with herself.

He lowers his head to the floor. “I have, but the butt of the joke was usually me so I don’t bring myself to remember it normally.” He answers as he looks back up at her. “Sort of both, if you’re in the student council then you should be able to help me out. I was wondering where my class is, but I can’t find it. I can’t find much of anything to be honest though so it’s not a surprise to me.” He answers as his blue hair sways as he looks around curiously.

She opened her mouth to say something about being the butt of jokes, but she closed it just as quick; she didn't have any retort for that. "Uhh... Okay then~."

Misha gave the strange kid an incredulous look. "You enrolled into a school and you don't know where your classroom is~? That's mighty irresponsible of you~." She crossed her arms. "Every good student should know about their class placements before the school year starts~." Shaking her head, she struts out the door. "Well, I guess it can't be helped~. We better take you to the registrar's office~. Now if you please follow the sound of my voice~."

Now, where were we? || Misha and Kensei

"Whoa now, I didn’t know I was speaking to Ms. Popularity." Kensei emphasized his amazement, though he was genuinely impressed. The little display Misha had acted out during her deliberations was alarmingly cute, Kensei found himself deciding to let her finish without interruption.

"You know Misha, I don’t think you have to worry about your girlish figure at all." Kensei noted, definitely not. Maybe she was self-conscious about being, what, a little heavier than Yamaku’s average student? Or maybe it was nothing and just a turn of phrase, either way, it would be incredibly inappropriate for Kensei to assure Misha of her pleasant curviness and so he moved on. "But anyway, we don’t HAVE to do lunch." He continued on their way out of the room. "We could do something else. What do you like to do in your off time? I still don’t know the area around the school too well, so I’m a little dry on suggestions." He grinned sheepishly. "Sorry.

"Hmm~?" Misha glared at Kensei. "You're telling me not worry about my figure~? Are you suggesting that I'm fat? Are you~!?" But as soon as she blew up in anger, she broke down with laughter. "Argh, d-dangit~. WAHAHA~!! Oh boy... Why is it so hard to act~?" Patting her own cheeks, she sighed. "Alright fine~, I admit that I'm kinda worried about me getting into shape. But that's normal, right~?"

She's visibly torn between wanting to go and wanting to stay; her face was strained with confusion. But in the end (and what seemed to be an eternity of constant fidgeting), she reluctantly nodded. "Okay fine~, let's have lunch. And by lunch I mean dinner. But nothing overly filling, okay~?" She paused to think about a venue. "...Maybe we could try that ramen place over in the middle of town~? I've never been there before. It might be a good time to get lost on Sunday~, don't you think?"

He nods his head slowly. “I thought that might have just been a recording since no one answered me.” He answers regretfully. “It’s alright, a verbal response would’ve been as welcome.” He adds on as he sees her point a finger and looks around before realizing it was toward him. “Oh, yes, I am new. I’m Kinjiro. It’s nice to meet you Misha.”

"Something's wrong with your ears~." Misha nonchalantly declares and she stands up, dusting her skirt off. "That laugh was genuine and you know it~. It's almost like you've never heard anyone rolling on the floor laughing before~..." She shrugs. "Well, past is past, I guess we can't do anything about it~."

Pausing to scratch her chin, she asks him. "You need something from the Student Council~? Or did you just wander here aimlessly by yourself~?"

Kensei crossed his arms, wearing a dissatisfied look.

"Well, now that’s a cop out if I ever heard one." he teased. "You can’t pay for something by getting the thing you’re paying for, that doesn’t make any sense!"

In actuality, Kensei sort of understood where Misha was coming from, but he wasn’t about to allow it. Even if she didn’t think so, Kensei owed her for taking the time to help him out. He was always to sort to repay kindness, occasionally extravagantly, and was determined to find a way.

"Nope, that won’t do at all, no ma’am." Kensei shook his head. "I’m afraid you’re going to have to allow me to treat you to lunch."

"But it does make sense if you think about it a little bit~." She thought about it. A little bit. Or maybe a lot. But she really did like teaching.

"More lunch~!?" she exclaimed, frowned, and took a peek at her stomach. "That's three invitations in two weeks~! I don't know if my stomach could take it~. On one hand, it's food and a good time with Kencchan~." She held up one hand to demonstrate, and started lifting the other. "Then again, I've got a figure to watch for~. What do I do~?" She whined and started bouncing rapidly on the desk, pointing at Kensei once she finished running a tantrum. "You've really got me stuck between a rock and a hard place, you know~... Fine, I'm going." Flipping her frown upside-down, she jumped down from the teacher's desk. "I've got nothing better to do anyway, so let's do this~!"

Hymndi looked confused for a moment before smirking, a soft laugh escaping as he shook his head. Normally he would be upset right now, or making some excuse to leave but with her things were different. As he laughter grew so did his, and before he knew it the two were both filling the place with laughter. 

Eventually, Misha rose back to sitting, wiping the tears from her eyes. Hymndi looked at her, a genuine broad smile on his face. She had this way of making him stay happy, which was an amazing talent to have. “You really enjoy toying with me, don’t you?” He chuckled again, teasing her a bit. A cheeky grin began to slide across his face. “Can I put the best wheel forward instead?” The grin stayed on his face as he contained his laughter. For once, he was having a good time, and could even make a joke at his own expense without feeling negative about it. “But, before we make more of a scene, we should probably figure out what we’re going to get.” The smile was still on his face, and he liked it being there. He felt genuinely happy for the first time in months, maybe even a year. No matter what happened, this would be a day he would remember.

"I'm not exactly 'toying with you,' as much as I'm 'having fun with you at your expense'." She giggled at the thought. "Best wheel fo-? OH you're clever~! Good, good good~." She rubbed her chin with a knuckle. "I should've thought of that. I guess it's too late~. But I'm really glad you're open about your legs~." She leaned back and wrapped her arms on the back of the booth, but it dawned on her that what she said wasn't really appropriate out of context. "I don't mean it like that~!" She waved her hands in front of her and shook her head, blushing from the embarrassment. "I mean you're cool about your legs and walking and all~."

Getting over her Freudian slip, she waved toward the cafe's bar. "Yuuko~! We're gonna take our orders, now~!" Beckoning the waitress, she greets the woman with a big smile, slipping Hymndi's menu back over to her while he wasn't looking.

"Hello and welcome to the Shanghai," the bespectacled waitress told them. "Are you getting your usual, Misha? And what will your friend here have?"

"Ehh, I'm still picking~. Hold on." She bluntly said while sticking her nose into the menu. This caught Yuuko off guard and she immediately erased the little check marks that one would presume to be the orders that she guessed for Misha. "You first, Hymndi~."

Kimiko gave the girl a smile, her hand covering a silent giggle. [ Oh my, you would not have to come in to my room. I merely need to drop off a few things. My, that would be awkward. We are not that close yet, otherwise I would let you come in with no doubts in my mind. If you would not like to wait, we can part ways for now or I can meet you at your next destination being the cafeteria. The choice is yours. ] 

Kimiko nodded, [ Misha it is. Are you sure you want to be addressed so… Casually? ] She seemed a little confused, uncomfortable even at the thought. She certainly wasn’t used to this kind of treatment, and it would take a lot of getting used to. She was sure she could do it, in fact, she would force herself to get over it. It was no different than any other part of her life. She would overcome this, or anything else to come, the same way she did with anything else in her life. If at first you don’t succeed, she better try ten times harder or she would regret it. Then, after doing so, she would build yet another wall around herself. Hopefully here she could overcome that as well..

"Phew~!" she voiced out as she wiped the nonexistent sweat off her forehead. [ Here I thought I was going to have to get in your room~. That'd be all sorts of weird~. ] Misha could almost feel her ears warm up at the thought. Okay, maybe she was blushing too, but she immediately shook her head and fanned her face up and down to dismiss the thoughts, which doubled as a "Don't mind me!" expression. [ Maybe I could wait for you in the cafeteria. That sounds like a good plan~. ]

[ And if you're really worried about calling me Misha, you're free to call me Mikado if you want~. Just not Miss Mikado; that sounds a wee bi too up-tight, even with your nice and fancy speech~. ] She shrugged. [ People call each other by their first names here, and we're pretty close, too, so I could expect the same to happen to you pretty soon, hopefully~. ] She smiled a broad smile and smacked the other girl on the back. [ Well, see ya~! I'll try not to eat before you get to the cafeteria. ] With that, she ran off and waved goodbye to her dorm mate.

Hymndi immediately felt bad, realizing he probably did annoy and upset her. He looked down at the table, quickly holding out the menu to her. “I-I’m sorry. Here you go.” His voice was quiet, and he didn’t look up at her as he spoke. He knew he screwed up for a second time, and felt the need to apologize again. He opened his mouth, taking a breath, but closed it deciding to gather his thoughts first. Setting the menu down he looked out a window as well. “I’m sorry.” He said, still looking out the window, feeling like she would cut in to say he didn’t need to apologize again. “And before you say anything, lemme explain. I’ve never been on a date before.. Ever.. So, I’m kind of guessing here. So, I’m sorry if this turns out to be a bad date. Just know that I’m really trying, okay?” He looked back at her, an uneasy smile on his face. He felt a bit better after explaining why he might be acting weird, and hoped she understood. Then again, he would understand if she didn’t. He could hope though, couldn’t he?

Finally cracking under the strain, she let out a roaring "WAHAHAHA~!!! Oh boy, you should've seen the look on your face~!" Clutching her sides, she lay down on the booth and rolled around, doing her best not to lose it and fall to the floor. "Mphth~, WAHAHA!! Oh it's too much. Too much~!"

After what felt like an eternity, Misha slowly climbed back up, gripping on the table's edge to help herself get stabilized. Exhaling after a long laugh, she wiped the tears from her eyes using a napkin on the table and rested her face against her palm, smooshing her cheek. "Oh boy~, you should've seen the look on your face~!" She reverted back to her signature grin. "You should lighten up~! Dates are about having fun, not making," her voice turned a few tones obnoxious, "good impressions." She pat Hymndi on the shoulder and nodded. "Your date wants to be comfortable with you~, not to feel like they're meeting Mr. Right. Though I admit putting your best foot forward helps~."

Kimiko followed along as the female tugged on her sleeve, a slightly irritated look upon her face. [ I apologize, some times I cannot help myself. However, I must ask that we return to my room. I had not showered yet, and need to return to put away a few things. ] A slight blush swept over her face at the thought of another girl being in her room, but she quickly dismissed any thoughts about such things. [ Then we can head straight down to breakfast, I promise. ] She nodded and flashed the girl a smile. 

[ Misha Mikado? My, what a lovely name. The pleasure is mine, I assure you. ] Kimiko stopped the two to bow deeply. [ Do you prefer to be called anything other than Misha? ] She figured she would ask to be polite, in case the female preferred a nickname, or usage of her full name. It was a silly thought, yes, but she was raised to never assume. Things could go terribly wrong if you assumed.

Oh dear. Misha seemed to have found herself in a pickle. Instead of going to the Student Council room a bit early to start working on a small bit of paperwork with Shizune, she ended up getting sidetracked by a girl she just knew. Pleasantly confused, she fell into a moment of indecision. "Uhh~..." [ You sure that letting me into your room's a good idea? I mean, we just met and... well~... you know. Awkward~? ]

But to wave off the off-ness of the situation, she smiled despite herself. [ But you can call me Misha. Just Misha's fine, thanks~. ]

Hymndi looked at Misha, who looked like she was about to answer his question, but quickly backed down in to deep thought. It looked like she was about to burst from focusing so hard. He raised an eyebrow, leaning in to examine this. I don’t think I’ve ever seen her think this hard. Huh, this is actually rather odd. Normally she just blurts out answers, seemingly without thought. A smirk danced across his face, his arms crossed resting on the table. It looked like she finally gave up and looked at him. 

"Can you please pass that menu beside you, Hymndi~?"

Hymndi looked and did see the menu, but he grinned, shrugging as he looked back at her. “But why? It seemed like you knew what you wanted. Besides, I need it.” He laughed softly as he picked it up, examining it, making different “Hmm” and “Uh huh..” trying his best to hide the smile on his face. Peeking over the menu he stuck his tongue out at her playfully. He hadn’t been this playful in ages, and he was enjoying himself. Hopefully she wouldn’t be too upset about it and play along with his joke.

Once Hymndi took the menu, Misha was expecting to receive it, her arm already going across the table while she said "Thank yo- huh~?" She deflated as when as the other boy took it and read it for himself. "Oh okay, take your time~," she conceded, only a slight bit hurt that he took the menu first. But slowly, she came to realize that Hymndi was playing around with her, his attempts at stopping himself to smile eventually transforming into smug little smirks. Annoyed, she puffed up her cheeks and crossed her arms, made an undignified pouting sound, and turned her head towards a window.
