Emptiness (Open RP)
Hymndi sat on the roof of the school, his wheelchair beside him, toying with a few pebbles in his hands. It was one of the few times he was up here, being up stairs and there being no ramp. Students weren't supposed to be up here, but he could see why people would really like it. It was like the space begged you to be alone and think, or even to share a moment with a person. It was like a world on its own, seperated from everything. He sighed, closing his eyes and falling back with a soft thud, the breeze rolling over him to gently rustle his hair and uniform. He didn't know why he was wearing it, it wasn't like he had classes today. Maybe it was just habit at this point. He pushed the thought away, deciding it wasn't necessary to think about right now. He slowly opened his eyes again, looking up at the clouds, his eyes lazily examining them. He never saw shapes like anyone else did. Did that make him weird? He wondered what his old therapist would say then quickly dismissed that thought, knowing it was worse than the last. He sat back up, the pebbles still in his hands, he looked over at the broken part of the fence.
Hymndi shook his hood, throwing the pebbles at the fence, a few soft metallic pings resonating. This day was dreadful already. He missed the people he had began to grow close to. His mind began to wander, drifting through the different people and memories. Alphonse: what a good guy. Caring, generous, optimistic... All the traits you would want in a person. He could see how people would like him and wondered for a moment how he didn't have more friends. Vi: someone who was just as awkward as him. He smirked for a moment, their awkward moment coming to mind. Going to get food with him was a journey in itself. Misha: there weren't words to describe that girl. She was... Energetic, for sure. Hanako: he wanted to know her more but couldn't seem to crack her shell. Something was there, underneath it all, and he wanted to know what it was. Miki: Crazy? No, that wasn't right. She was just bold, quick on her feet, and one look away from giving him a heart attack. Lily: there was a well mannered girl. He never did get to know her well enough though. He hoped to fix that one day. Ryou: things were just as awkward with him as they were with Vi. Except probably hundreds of times worse. Things got off on the wrong foot and then the situation kept stumbling along on that same foot. Emi: another runner, just like Miki. They met on bad terms. Having the person rush you to the nurse usually isn't a good way to start things. Saito: things didn't start out great with Saito, but he felt like things could be okay between the two despite the rocky start. Then there was Rin. As he thought of Rin a smile touched his face. Rin was different. Sure, it might be hard to talk to her and she might not make sense but... He felt like he wanted to stick it out and be around her.
With a deep breath Hymndi took a moment to get himself in his chair. All things considered, he had met a lot of people here. Heck, he had made a lot of friends too. Were they friends? He was going to call them friends. He turned and began pushing himself towards the door, ready to take the trek back down the stairs. He had made all of these friends and yet he felt so... Empty. Why was that? His heart sunk a bit and he sighed, not knowing what to think. For now, he would just focus on the stairs.
