“ Known as the Weyerhaeuser Mansion, this stunning property perches perfectly above the Sound with unobstructed views of the Sound, Cascade Mountains, Mount Rainier, Olympic Mountains and so much more! This mansion was built in 1923 for John & Anne Weyerhaeuser with a money-is-no-object mindset. Home inc. pipe organ, elevator, dumbwaiter, unbelievable mill-work throughout and every chimney is its own art sculpture. Landscaping designed by the renowned Olmsted Brothers! You must see to appreciate.”
Heard some important information on Twitter today, and thought I’d post it here for anyone who may not have heard it. This is actually a thing, devised by human rights organisation called Karma Nirvana.

Don’t just accept the new Terms of Service
Tumblr’s at it again, thanks to the new European Privacy Laws. There’s probably nobody who will read this, but it pissed me off so much that I decided to make a post about it. (Ignore the weird language mish-mash, depending on your country the language might differ.)
OK, so many of us get this screen when we try to access our dash:
Realise how the ‘OK’ button is a nice, attention-grabbing blue? If you’re like me, you’re not exactly into reading a 100 pages document and tend to just click it.
My tip? DONT. Instead click on ‘Manage Options’ right next to it:
Now you’ll see this page:
Still pretty harmless, right? That ‘Accept’ button is looking really attractive right now. Instead, click on Verwalten (Probably something like ‘Manage Options’ or something in english) and you’ll get to this page:
Now that’s not too bad, right? I just switched all the buttons to ‘off’, because I’m jealously guarding my personal information and don’t want Tumblr to go off and do who knows what with it. Looks like we’re done! But wait: There’s a SHOW option.
When we click on that one, what we will get is this:
A HUGE list with OVER 300 ENTRIES of companies that can use your data by default if you’d just clicked ‘OK’ on that very first page. Coincidence that this list is hidden that much? Me thinks not. They’re all switched on by default, but I am still a petty bitch that doesn’t want to give out her data, so I switched them all off. All 300+ of them. There is no option to switch them all off at once, and even if you disable all the options above, the companies are still switched on.
(If you wonder how i got that number, I copied the list into excel and looked at the cell number. No way am I actually counting all those entries)
I too, am a petty bitch who unticked every single one.
If you already clicked OK previously and want to go back and click all the buttons like the petty bitch you are, just go to your Privacy settings on tumblr and uncheck the “Cookie consent” button.
You’ll get the terms of service screen again an you can follow the above instructions.
Fun fact: even tho I turned off every single one of these yesterday on the laptop, today using the app settings were on again.

Prison visit room vending machine food in the wild Pt. II
I feel like I should explain why this annoys me.
So when you go to visit someone in prison, you’re in a big room filled with little tables like a school cafeteria, where inmates and visitors sit together. There’s usually a drinking fountain and cups that is graciously provided free of charge, but if you would like to have any other beverage or food to eat, you have to use the vending machines. In our state, you have to buy a chip card ($5) to use the machines (except for one tiny little podunk place where we had to bring QUARTERS) and the max amount is $40 per card. The variety of food and drinks varies from each institution and some places have better stuff than others. But invariably, the food in the vending machines is far and away so much better than what the inmates eat every day. Some people try to land at specific prisons because the visit rooms have cheap coffee and ice cream. Items like the boneless BBQ pork riblets are especially coveted and I swear they only stock a limited amount on purpose to be cruel because you’ve gotta be quick and snatch them up right when you get into the room or someone else will and you’ll be stuck with the bean and cheese burritos and Sun Chips. (It’s also cruel to stock Sun Chips because the inmates get them with every sack lunch and they are sick to death of them.) I would be hard pressed to overstate how much they LOVE the vending machine food. Mentally, they’re popping bottles when it’s visit day over how they’re going to pack themselves like a musket with this stuff. It’s a big deal. So it breaks my heart in an absurdly hilarious way that the vending machine food they swoon over, (which has -1000% nutritional value) is so widely available at places like Wal Mart and Dollar Tree. For so much less than what we pay at visit. For the record, I get it, it’s prison, I’m not expecting a porterhouse steak or anything. I’m not really complaining. It’s just really, really funny in a super sad way and completely flies in the face of my home grown farm-to-table approach to food and nutrition as a lifestyle. That’s all.
Exactly 👌. And it might be prison but I spend about $40 each Sunday for a breakfast and a lunch for 2 and we barely eat anything, when that’s the price of a very good restaurant…
my brother tried to pick up a banana to make it look like he was talking on the phone but all the bananas in the bunch came with it and he just looked at me and went “i guess it’s a conference call”

There’s a grave in the middle of the road in Franklin, Indiana. As the story goes, there was once a cemetery where the road now is and when they were turning it into a road some of her family had a problem with moving her grave, so she remained and they added a plaque for her. In 2016, Barnett’s remains were temporarily moved so they could repair the street. At this time they decided to exhume her corpse and ended up finding remains of not just Barnett, but six others.
This is what it looks like as of 2016, after its remodel. It’s literally in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by cornfields and some random houses around, but cars were lining up to see it the whole time I was there today.
