Don't Get Black Henna
I donāt know if any of you have heard about this, but there is a type of āhennaā tattoo that has PPD in it. THE NORMAL RED-BROWN HENNA IS FINE, BUT BLACK HENNA HAS PPD IN IT! Many people have reacted to it and it could cause life-long scarring as well as a visit to the emergency room. The reactions I got to it are that it is raised (like blisters) where the ink was applied, it hurts to the touch, it itches, there is a rash around it, and I canāt get it off with rubbing alcohol (which the woman who applied it told me would take it off). Please reblog this so that people will know about this!
The Washington Post wrote about what the FDA had to say about it:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/style-blog/wp/2013/03/26/fda-beware-of-black-henna-tattoos/
Reblog!! You can get black hennas if you are not allergic to PPD!
So I got a black so called henna and I did some research if it was safe to have one and itās saying it causes toxic chemicals like PPD. Now Iām scared and I want to take the āHennaā off. But people keep telling me itās safe because I got it from the Somali market. Thank goodness Iām not allergic to PPD. not cool. I shouldāve asked for brown (black still looks pretty.) make sure you ask someone if your allergic to PPD. or if you wanna learn if you are yourself then you might wanna hear this. You might have a few rashes, itchiness, your face or scalp might start to swell, maybe even feeling sick. Please ask your henna artist what chemicals is in the henna before getting one! Black hennas can be extremely dangerous. It causes life-long scarring and scars arenāt pretty. Brown and orange ones are fine cause those ones are real hennas. Black hennas arenāt even hennas- ?? These scars can stay forever. If you have a black henna and is allergic to PPD or is getting blisters, go to the doctor immediately. They can cause liver failure and etc.
